摘要： To reduce substantially the amount of tubing for condensate being returned from the steam distribution manifold and to enable such condensate to revaporize as steam, thereby increasing the thermal efficiency of the humidifier, a condensate baffle in the bottom of the steam distribution manifold projects with the manifold into the steam separator through a common coupling between the separator and manifold and downstream from the steam admission needle valve of the separator. Structural compactness with economy is achieved.

摘要： An air treating apparatus such as a humidifier, evaporator cooler, cooling tower or other such equipment comprising a housing provided with evaporator means and water distribution means mounted in the housing above the evaporator means to provide a substantially uniformly distributed flow of water thereto. The water distribution means includes a tray provided with an upstanding or elevated target element located between a plurality of upstanding vertical wall elements forming channels leading to apertures positioned to distribute water uniformly to the evaporator means. Water directed to the apparatus impinges with a certain velocity head on the elevated top surface of the target element from where the water while still in motion impinges upon the top edges of the internal wall elements which divide and direct the water into the channels and from where the water is distributed to the evaporator means through the apertures.

摘要： A humidifier for use in forced air heating systems is provided wherein a housing having a water reservoir therein is adapted to be positioned adjacent an air register, outlet or diffuser. A duct in communication with said air register is provided within the housing for delivery of air to the water reservoir, and a flexible curtain or baffle is positioned within the housing across said duct and extending into the water of said reservoir. This arrangement requires the forced air entering said duct to flex, balloon or bow out the curtain to raise it above the water surface in order to escape to the outside. The device is adaptable to forced air floor, wall or overhead registers, outlets or diffusers.

摘要： A warm air passage in a heating system has a sheet metal wall with an opening in it that is normally closed by a metal plate that has a marginal area inside the passage extending along one side of the opening. The rest of the plate is outside the passage and is held flat against the outer surface of the wall around the rest of the opening by means of releasable securing means. Humidifier means mounted on the plate are exposed to the inside of the warm air passage. At opposite ends of said marginal area the plate is provided with slots extending inwardly toward each other at the junction of the marginal area and the rest of the plate for receiving the adjoining overlapped portions of the passage wall to form a hinge connection so that when the securing means is released, the plate can be swung outwardly away from the wall without becoming disconnected from it.

摘要： A humidifier assembly for use with a forced circulation warm air heating system, including a receptacle portion in the form of an upwardly opening basin and defining an evaporation chamber having a wire screen therein, and a mounting plate portion to which the receptacle portion can be removably fastened. An air scoop portion having hood formations extending along upwardly diverging axes may be assembled to the mounting plate portion and the latter fastened to the lower wall of the heating duct with the air scoop projecting through an opening in the duct lower wall to divert air downwardly into the evaporation chamber and return the air to the duct. A spray nozzle discharges a spray-mist pattern into the evaporation chamber and against the screen. A twin-duct collar may be substituted for the air scoop to adapt the unit to other installation conditions.

摘要： This disclosure comprises a humidifier mounted in a vertical position in the furnace plenum, and a modified form thereof is mounted in a horizontal position in the furnace duct, each of which has a centrifugal water impeller that throws droplets of water into a mesh or mat where it evaporates and enters into the air stream. The centrifugal water impeller units are rotated by means of a vane propeller or fan by the flow of air. This invention, therefore, eliminates the need for an electric motor or other electrical means.
