Abstract: A tube-shaped power supply device for an atomizer includes a hollow main housing with two open portions engaging with a main connecting member and a base, an electrical core received in the main housing, a PCB integral with a circuit for charging the electrical core and adjusting its output power, a frame received in the main housing and supporting the electrical core and the PCB. A receiving room is formed between the frame and an inner wall of the main housing for receiving the electrical core therein. The PCB is arranged on a side of the frame back to the electrical core. First positive and negative electrodes of the PCB are electrically connected to second positive and negative electrodes of the electrical core, respectively. A power output in the main connecting member is electrically connected to a main output of an adjustment output power of the PCB.

Abstract: Aerosol delivery devices disclosed herein seek to help address or reduce some of the issues associated with accidental/unintended activation of an aerosol delivery device. This is done in some example implementations by control circuitry controlling when an aerosol delivery device switches between different modes based on signaling received from a motion sensor and an airflow sensor. The control circuitry can determine from motion detection signals when there is a tapping event corresponding to the device being tapped by a user and to determine from airflow detection signals when there is an airflow event corresponding a flow of air in the device.

Abstract: An aerosol delivery device is provided that includes a heating element configured to convert electricity to heat and thereby vaporize components of an aerosol precursor composition, and a control component coupled to and configured to controllably power the heating element. The control component includes a buck regulator circuit coupled to the heating element, and an operational amplifier circuit coupled to the heating element and buck regulator circuit. The buck regulator circuit is configured to step down voltage and step up current from a power source to the heating element to thereby power the heating element. The operational amplifier circuit is configured to amplify an output voltage from the heating element to produce a higher voltage that is fed back to the buck regulator circuit, which is configured to use the higher voltage to regulate an output voltage from the buck regulator circuit to the heating element.

Abstract: An airflow regulator has a main ring body and a regulating ring piece. The main ring body is a hollow structure and a sidewall thereof comprises an air inlet. The regulating ring piece is disposed on a bottom of an inner periphery of the main ring body. The regulating ring piece is used to deform correspondingly according to a magnitude of pressure of incoming airflows passing through the air inlet. An electronic cigarette and an atomizer having the airflow regulator are structurally novel and convenient to use. The regulating ring piece of the airflow regulator can correspondingly deform according to magnitudes of sucking forces of the user when the user smokes in order to automatically adjust an amount of air intake.

Abstract: An aerosol delivery device is provided. The aerosol delivery device includes a power source, an aerosol production component, a sensor to produce measurements of atmospheric air pressure in an air flow path through at least one housing, and a switch coupled to and between the power source and the aerosol production component. The aerosol delivery device also includes processing circuitry coupled to the sensor and the switch. The processing circuitry determines a difference between the measurements of atmospheric air pressure from the sensor and a reference atmospheric air pressure. Only when the difference is at least a threshold difference, the processing circuitry outputs a signal to cause the switch to switchably connect and disconnect an output voltage from the power source to the aerosol production component to power the aerosol production component for an aerosol-production time period.
