    摘要: The present disclosure describes systems and apparatus for detecting an impending sewer backup by detecting fluid undulations of predetermined magnitude inside a main body of a backwater valve. When at least a predetermined number of fluid undulations of predetermined magnitude are detected within a predetermined time period, an alarm can be triggered. Such undulations can be detected by monitoring a buoyant gate in a normally-open backwater valve to detecting instances of movement of the gate from a lowered position in which fluid flow from an inlet through the backwater valve is unobstructed by the gate toward but stopping short of a raised position in which the gate closes the inlet to obstruct fluid flow through the valve. For example, a sensor can be carried on the gate to detect movement of the gate. Alternatively, fluid levels inside the main body can be monitored directly.

    摘要: A drilling apparatus has a work robot mounting a drilling blade and moving inside a main pipe and a photodetector for detecting the contour of an opening image formed on the inner surface of a pipe lining material by illumination light. The opening image is scanned, and a two-dimensional image corresponding to the opening image is generated based on the contour points P0 to P8 detected by the photodetector for display on a display unit. The amount of positional deviation between the center of the two-dimensional image on the display unit and the axial center C of the rotary shaft of the drilling blade is calculated, and the pipe lining material is drilled by moving the drilling blade by the amount of positional deviation in a direction in which the positional deviation is eliminated.

    摘要: A drainage pipe fitting includes a cuff that permits the fitting to be coupled with pipes or fittings of various sizes. The cuff includes a plurality of sloped surfaces. For example, the cuff may include a first set of sloped surfaces and a second set of sloped surfaces on an interior of the cuff for receiving different-sized pipes or fittings on the interior of the cuff. The cuff may also include a third set of sloped surfaces, a fourth set of sloped surfaces, and a fifth set of sloped surfaces on an exterior of the cuff for receiving further pipes or fittings of different sizes on the exterior of the cuff. If desired, the cuff can include more or less sets of sloped surfaces. In some cases the sloped surfaces are arranged on internal and external fins of the cuff.

    摘要: A rehabilitating pipe is laid inside a main pipe that intersects with a manhole. A flanged tubular member is provided which comprises a tubular part and a flange part each comprising a flexible resin absorber impregnated with liquid setting resin. With the resin in an unhardened state, the flange part is brought into pressure contact with the inner circumferential surface of the manhole for adhesion thereto by curing the resin. The tubular part is then inserted in the rehabilitating pipe for adhesion to the inner circumferential surface thereof. This makes it possible to seal the gap between the inner circumference of the main pipe and the outer circumference of the rehabilitating pipe thereof.
