摘要： A spool mounting apparatus, particularly suitable for automatic, unbuffered tape transport systems, permits a reduction in the handling of spools during loading sequences.A spool inserted through an opening into a cavity within a housing, is guided into a preliminary position by a detent pin. The opening possesses a spring biassed closure member, which is mechanically linked to a free running disc member within the cavity situated opposite a shaped cylindrical hub over which the spool may locate.Motion of the spring biassed closure member towards a closed position effects displacement of the free running disc member towards the hub, thereby clamping the spool disposed therebetween. Subsequent rotation applied to the hub is therefore transferred to the clamped spool and the free running member.

摘要： A tape cassette is loaded with respect to a recording and/or reproducing apparatus having a reel driving mechanism including at least one reel driving shaft, where the tape cassette comprises a cassette case, a reel provided within the cassette case, for winding a tape, and a reel displacement limiting mechanism for limiting displacement of the reel. The reel displacement limiting mechanism comprises a first teeth part having crests and valleys, formed on the lower surface of the reel, a second teeth part having crests and valleys, formed on a bottom plate of the cassette case at a position opposing the first teeth part of the reel, an urging mechanism for urging the reel toward the bottom plate of the cassette case so that the first and second teeth parts mesh with each other, and a displacement limiting mechanism for limiting displacement of the reel along a radial direction thereof in a state where the first and second teeth parts are meshed to a quantity smaller than a displacement quantity of the reel along the radial direction thereof in a state where the reel is lifted against the urging force of the urging mechanism and the mesh between the first and second teeth parts is released.

摘要： Disclosed is a reel driving method for a tape recorder wherein a rotatable idler is caused to engage a desired one of a pair of reel shafts by rocking a rockable support lever to drive the desired reel shaft, the idler being mounted on the support lever so that the rotatory force of a capstan shaft is transmitted to the idler. A pair of such idlers are disposed on both sides of the rocking center of the support lever so that the support lever rocks around the rocking center correspondingly to the rotating direction of the capstan shaft, which can be reversed in rotation, thereby causing one of the pair of idlers to engage the desired reel shaft.

摘要： A magnetic tape cassette comprises a housing having an open front side and two adjacent reel hubs containing an amount of tape, a span of said tape extending along the front side; at one or at both corner points near the open front side front covers are pivotable between an open position, and a closed position which covers at least partly over the front opening; the span of the magnetic tape which extends along the open front side can be moved between an active position outside the housing and an inactive position in which the tape is disposed between the major walls of the housing. Each front cover is formed with a thrust portion which during the pivotal movement from the open position to the closed position presses against the span of magnetic tape which extends along the front side and thereby moves it from the active position to the inactive position.

The braking means provide the greatest possible protection for the rolls of tape-like material and the material itself, which is of importance particularly in the case of thin magnetic tapes.The braking system can in principle be used for all types of magnetic tape and film cassette.

摘要： A tape fast-forwarding and rewinding apparatus comprising a rotation driving circuit for driving a motor for rotating a take up or supply reel so that the tape travels at a first fast-forwarding or rewinding speed, or travels at a second fast-forwarding or rewinding speed, the latter speed being faster than the former, a detection circuit for detecting the radii of wound tape respectively on the take-up and supply reels, and a memorizing circuit for memorizing the ratio of the radii of the wound tape detected by the detection circuit, while the tape is travelling at the first fast-forwarding or rewinding speed. A controlling circuit serves for controlling the rotation driving circuit so that the tape travels at the second fast-forwarding or rewinding speed after travelling at the first fast-forwarding and rewinding speed, and for controlling the rotation driving circuit so that the speed of the tape changes to the first fast-forwarding or rewinding speed from the second fast-forwarding or rewinding speed when the aforesaid value of the reciprocal of the radii ratio, when the tape is travelling at the second fast-forwarding or rewinding speed, is equal to the value of the ratio memorized in the memorizing circuit.

The apparatus is not expensive to produce, is easy to operate, and satisfactorily removes or reduces creases or tangle in a magnetic recording tape.
