摘要： A cleaning device is disclosed for an offset printing machine for quickly removing stains on a printed matter. A number of scrapers (7) are arranged in an axial direction of the surface of a printing drum (1) of the offset printing machine. The scrapers (7) are held by rods of air cylinders (8) which cause the scrapers to contact or be separated away from the surface of the drum (1). Solenoid valves are arranged corresponding to respective cylinders. The solenoid valves are controlled by a control unit (16). The position of hickey on the surface of the drum is designated from an information of a hickey position on the printed matter generated corresponding to the stain on the surface of the drum. When the associated solenoid valves are actuated, then the scrapers are brought into contact with the hickey position on the drum surface to scrape the hickey.

摘要： To clean dusts from a printing cylinder of a blanket, an impression drum or the like can be simply discharged with no adhesion in a casing of a cleaning machine. A cleaning device incorporates a rotary brush in the casing which is disposed opposite to the printing cylinder. An opening is formed in a cylinder confronting portion of the casing, and the cylinder surface can be cleaned by the brush, with some portion of the brush fronting. Provided in the casing is a scraper for eliminating the adhered substances while contacting the brush. A dust discharge port is formed in the wall surface of the casing, and an air blowout means for forming an air layer is provided in the bottom portion of the casing. The dusts taken in by the brush are carried through the air layer to the discharge port while floating the dusts and can be discharged from the discharge port.

摘要： A method of cleaning a cylinder of a printing machine comprises the steps of pressing a cleaning cloth onto the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder while the cylinder is rotating; forwardly feeding the cleaning cloth so as to wipe off contaminant on the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder; and partially feeding backwardly the portion of the cleaning cloth which has been fed forwardly during the preceding cleaning operation, before the next cleaning operation is started, whereby the portion of the cleaning cloth is partially used again for the cleaning in the next cleaning operation. The apparatus comprises a continuous cleaning cloth stretched between a cleaning cloth supply device and a cleaning cloth take-up roll rotatably supported by side plates, a take-up mechanism for rotating the cleaning cloth take-up roll so as to take-up the cleaning cloth; pressing device for selectively pressing the cleaning cloth into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder; and backward feeding device for backwardly feeding part of the cleaning cloth taken-up by the cleaning cloth take-up roll during preceding cleaning operation towards the cleaning cloth supply device after completion of the preceding cleaning operation.

摘要： To provide a cleaning arrangement which includes brushes brushing against the surface of a rubber blanket or other printing cylinder, to remove lint, dust, dirt and other contaminants therefrom a strip of brushes (9), preferably backed up by a suction pipe (8) to remove lint from the surface of the cylinder and from the brushes, is located inwardly of the finger guard strip (6) which is provided in advance of the nip between rotating cylinders as a safety measure. The cleaning elements, that is, brushes (9) and suction tubes (8), if provided, are located inwardly, with respect to the nip, of the safety guard or safety rail (6) which, typically, has angled or essentially in cross section part-circular, typically semi-circular shape. The safety guard is usually supported by levers (11) or slidably supported in the printing machine, to be placed out of position from the nip when the machine is stopped. The cleaning elements, that is brushes and suction tube, if provided, move with the safety rail to provide access to the nip between the cylinders when the machine is stopped. The cleaning structure does not require additional space or holding elements in the machine since the holders (11) for the safety guard rail (6) likewise support the cleaning elements (8, 9).
