摘要： A vending machine adapted to dispense commodities at two different prices while utilizing a single coin slot for the insertion of money. A plurality of plungers are provided, with each plunger adapted to dispense a commodity from an associated column. The commodity can be dispensed at either of the two prices. The unlocking of any plunger is accomplished by direct contact of a feeler mechanism with the inserted coin or coins. Separate feeler mechanisms are provided for each of the two prices. Each of the prices is adjustable in the event that the two prices for vending are to be varied from time to time.

摘要： The control unit for a coin handling mechanism of a vending machine includes a rotatable cam having sections which can be displaced relative to each other about the axis of rotation for the cam. The one section carries a rotatable adjusting element which is offset radially from the cam axis, and this adjusting element has a spur gear which engages a gear segment on the other cam section. Thus, when the adjusting element is rotated, one cam section is angularly displaced relative to the other. The two sections have lobes at their peripheries and these lobes operate switches. The angular interval between the operation of the switches varies according to the relative positions of the cam sections, and this enables the control unit to adjust for different sale prices. A solenoid actuator rotates the cam in incremental advances.

A movable winding wheel is provided with engaging means for limiting the degree of movement of the winding wheel. This engaging means is resiliently held in association with the winding wheel and is positioned for engagement with a blocking means near the end of the winding movement. The engaging means is then adapted to yield in response to continued winding movement so that an increased amount of winding can be achieved.

摘要： A tape dispenser including a drum having a plurality of tape cartridge boxes mounted on oppositely disposed vertical pins provided on the outer periphery of the drum, a flange positioned around the upper portion of the drum to prevent vertical movement of the boxes with respect to the pins and including a slot for removing one box at a time from the drum, a locking spring plate mounted to block the slot and having a release recess which is moved into alignment with the slot to allow for the vertical movement of a box on the pins, and a key actuated release mechanism connected to said locking spring plate and actuated by a lettered key which allows for movement of the locking plate to release a tape cartridge box from the drum. The release mechanism includes a slide housing having a pair of guide slots, an index slide positioned for movement in the housing and including a pair of triangular openings, a pair of arms mounted for movement with the slide and having rivets extending through said triangular openings and said guide slots, and a spring connected to the arms to bias said arms to a locking position with respect to said housing and slide. The special key is used to move the arms with respect to the slide to thereby release the slide for movement relative to the housing.

摘要： In a coin-operated lock unit of the type including a control or custodian key controlled lock and a coin-operated patron key lock, wherein the control lock is adapted to removably secure the unit to a cabinet in position adjacent a door thereof, and the patron lock is adapted to effect locking of the cabinet door, the improvement including control means operated externally of the lock unit for selectively converting the patron lock from coin operated to free status. The control means may include as an integral part thereof means to selectively release the patron key operated lock cylinder from the lock unit to facilitate replacement thereof without the necessity of removing the lock unit from the cabinet. A further improvement includes novel means interconnecting a lock operation counter with a coin release mechanism via the patron lock, so as to accurately record each paid actuating cycle of the patron lock.
