摘要： Compounds having the formula (1): wherein A is a phenyl, naphthyl, dihydronaphthyindeny, pyridyl, indolyl,isoindolyl, quinolyl or isoquinolyl group which are optionally substituted; X is optionally substituted alicyclic, aromatic, imino or heterocyclic groups or —S— or —O—; Y is a single bond or an alkylene group; Z is an unsubstituted aliphatic group or divalent residue of benzene or pyridine, which is optionally substituted; anis hydrogen, lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl; with certain provisos. These compounds exhibit an inhibitory effect on the production of IgE antibodies and are, hence, useful as antiallergic agents.

摘要： The invention relates to compounds represented by the following general formula (1): wherein A is an aromatic compound which may be substituted, or the like, B is a nitrogen atom or CH, X is a lower alkylene group which may be substituted, or the like, Y is a single bond or the like; Z is a divalent residue of benzene which may be substituted, or the like, and m and n are independently an integer of 1 to 4, and medicines comprising such a compound. These compounds have an excellent inhibitory effect on the production of an IgE antibody and are hence useful as antiallergic agents and the like.

摘要： A reading unit for an image reading device includes a lens tube for forming an image of an object and a line sensor for converting the formed image into an electrical signal. A reducing/magnifying mechanism is included for changing the magnification of the image detected by the line sensor. The lens tube is movable such that the optical path length between the lens tube and the line sensor is adjustable to thereby vary magnification of the image. Further, in response to the movement of the lens tube, a movable mirror is adjusted. The mirror is set in a first predetermined position and directs reflected light from the object to the lens tube to shorten the optical path length between the object and the lens tube and thus relatively increase magnification, in response to the lens tube being in a predetermined normal position with a relatively long optical path length between the lens tube and the line sensor. Then, the mirror is set in a second predetermined position and does not direct reflected light from the object to the lens tube to lengthen the optical path between the object and the lens tube and thus relatively decrease magnification, in response to the lens tube being in a predetermined reducing position with a relatively short optical path length between the lens tube and the line sensor. Movement of both the movable mirror and the lens tube are therefore linked together and are each displaced between predetermined positions so as to vary magnification of the image and to prevent distortion in the image read by the line sensor.

摘要： A printer for printing characters and images on recording paper comprising: a paper cassette for storing the recording paper; a platen roller around which the recorrding paper is wound at the time of the transfer of images for printing; a clamping mechanism for clamping the recording paper between the clamping mechanism and the platen roller; a motor for driving the platen roller through a gear unit; a thermal printing head for transfferring images onto the recording paper; a paper feeding rollers for feeding the recording paper from the paper cassette to the clamper; a paper discharging rollers for discharging the recording paper upon the completion of the transfer of images thereto; and an ink cassette storing an ink sheet inside thereof; in which the clamping mechanism comprises a clamper which is mounted on the platen roller in such a manner as to permit the free movement of the clamper, holds the recording paper by pushing the recording paper onto the platen roller in a first position and also releases the recording paper in a second position.
