    摘要: An Innervated Stochastic Controller optimizes business decision-making under uncertainty through time. The Innervated Stochastic Controller uses a unified reinforcement learning algorithm to treat multiple interconnected operational levels of a business process in a unified manner. The Innervated Stochastic Controller generates actions that are optimized with respect to both financial profitability and engineering efficiency at all levels of the business process. The Innervated Stochastic Controller can be configured to evaluate real options. In one embodiment of the invention, the Innervated Stochastic Controller is configured to generate actions that are martingales.     摘要: A coal syngas or other syngas fired power plant is provided with no atmospheric emissions. Coal or other starter fuel is gasified within a gasifier which also receives oxygen and steam therein. The oxygen is provided from an air separator. Syngas produced within the gasifier is combusted within a gas generator along with oxygen from the air separator. Water is also introduced into the gas generator to control the temperature of combustion of the syngas with the oxygen. Products of combustion including steam and carbon dioxide are produced within the gas generator. The combustion products are expanded through a turbine for power output and then separated, such as within a condenser. Water discharged from the condenser is at least partially recirculated back to the gasifier and the gas generator. Carbon dioxide from the separator is compressed for capture without release into the atmosphere.

    摘要: A vocal communication snorkel includes a hollow body having a breather tube, adapted to extend above the water, coupled thereto and a mouthpiece adapted to be held by the lips of a snorkeler. The body has a pair of inwardly curved, spherically shaped diaphragms of thin plastic material that are tuned to resonance within the frequency band of 1500 to 3000 Hertz in water. The mouthpiece includes a passageway that is coupled to the body and a pair of flexible lips, that are closable by the lips of the snorkeler for articulating plosive sounds. A readily collapsible bubble, formed in the passageway and engageable by the lower lip of the snorkeler, facilitates closure of the passageway under pressure from the snorkeler's lower lip.

    摘要: A product gripper mechanism, particularly for gripping a plurality of products in a product group, such as bakery products, for transfer to and loading into a shipping basket or tray. The gripper is constructed of a material, such as rigid PVC tubing, which is easily obtainable, lightweight and of substantial strength. The gripper frame includes spaced-apart lateral supports, which carry a plurality of adjustably positionable cross members carrying suction devices. The suction devices are adjustably positionable on the cross members, and may easily be added to or removed from the cross members. The assembly of the tubing elements is such as to accommodate rapid disassembly and reassembly, in order to reconfigure the gripper for different product types. The gripper has pivoting end flaps of L-shaped configuration provided with thin, flexible, inwardly projecting bottom plates. The bottom plates are arranged, when the end flaps are closed, to slide underneath end portions of the product items to help support the product when the gripper is accelerated upwardly to transfer the packages from the pick up location to the load station.
