摘要: A cooking system includes an appliance configured to cook food products, a fire suppressant supply configured to selectively provide fire suppressant agent, and a conduit. The appliance includes a food receptacle and a cover selectively repositionable between a fully open position and a closed position. The cover defines an internal volume configured to contain the food products during cooking, a fluid aperture fluidly coupled to the internal volume, and an access aperture through which the food products may be introduced into the internal volume. The cover extends at least partway across the access aperture in the closed position. The conduit fluidly couples the fire suppressant supply to the fluid aperture. The fire suppressant supply and the conduit are configured to introduce the fire suppressant agent into the internal volume of the food receptacle at least when the cover is in the closed position.

摘要: Systems and methods for remote monitoring of mechanical fire suppression systems are provided. For example, some embodiments generally provide for a smart fire suppression system with integrated sensors and communication technology to monitor the current state of the fire suppression system and notify various monitoring platforms, service providers, equipment manufacturers and/or others of the current state. In some embodiments, various sensors (e.g., micro switches) can be used to detect and report the status of the cartridge, activation status of the system, and/or the status of the detection line. Additional sensors and actuators may be also be included within the smart fire suppression system to allow monitoring of different states (e.g., temperature) and control the appliance and/or building utilities.

摘要: A sprinkler includes an inlet aperture, an outlet aperture, a body, a conical member, and a deflector. The inlet aperture receives fire suppressant agent at an inlet end of the sprinkler and the outlet aperture is at an outlet end of the sprinkler. The body extends along a longitudinal axis and includes an inner volume forming a fluid flow path between the inlet end and the outlet end of the sprinkler. The conical member is positioned at the outlet end of the sprinkler directs the fire suppressant agent outwards. The deflector receives fire suppressant agent from the conical member and distributes the fire suppressant agent about a service area. The deflector includes multiple tines, which each extend along a corresponding radial axis that is substantially perpendicular with the longitudinal axis. Each tine is offset by an angular amount about the corresponding radial axis.

The inner volume of the body defines a fluid flow path between the inlet and the outlet. The venturi portion is positioned along the fluid flow path of the inner volume and is configured to produce a low pressure region within the inner volume of the body. The air inlet is configured to provide air to the low pressure region.

摘要: A gasket installation tool for installing a gasket member within an internal gasket chamber of a sprinkler head adapter or fitting. The installation tool includes a tubular assembly that engages the sprinkler head fitting and provides a passageway into which the gasket member is loaded. A rod member engaged with the tubular assembly advances the gasket member through the passageway of the tubular assembly to radially compress the gasket member. The engagement between the rod member and the tubular assembly controls the advancement of the gasket member into the fitting to properly locate the gasket within the chamber and prevent over travel.

摘要: Wet fire protection systems and methods for the protection of a stored commodity are provided. The system includes a supply portion coupled to a water supply and a demand portion including a plurality of sprinklers disposed above the commodity with each sprinkler having an operating pressure range. The plurality of sprinklers are interconnected by a network of pipes filled with water to provide each sprinkler with an initial pressure of water. A pressure control assembly is disposed between the supply portion and the demand portion to withhold fluid pressure from the supply portion from pressurizing the demand portion for a predetermined withholding period following actuation of at least one sprinkler in response to a fire.
