摘要： A liquid crystal display apparatus includes: one of a pair of substrates being transparent and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the pair of substrates; the one substrate including a plurality of scanning wirings, a plurality of signal wirings, a plurality of thin film semiconductor devices formed on intersections of the scanning wirings and the signal wirings, and a display electrode; and the other substrate including an opposed electrode. The apparatus further includes: first relay buses extended continuously over a width of said signal wirings, and second relay buses divided the width of signal wirings into a plurality of blocks; a relay circuit formed between the first and second relay buses for each of the blocks; a data latch read the display data in sequence through the second relay buses to latch the display data of one block amount; a memory circuit which reads out the display data of the one block amount simultaneously; a level shifter circuit which reads out a content of the memory circuit to change a logical voltage; and a D/A circuit which converts an output from the level shifter circuit into an analog voltage to drive the signal wirings.

摘要： A liquid crystal display wherein display is performed based on the fact that an a.c. voltage is applied to a liquid crystal layer when a switching element establishes a connection between a display electrode and a common electrode, and the a.c. voltage is not applied to the liquid crystal layer when the switching element releases the connection between the display electrode and the common electrode. A state of the switching element changes from connection between the display electrode and the common electrode to release of the connection under a condition that respective voltages of an opposite electrode, the display electrode, and the common electrode are made substantially the same, the condition being produced by stopping an a.c. voltage applied to the opposite electrode.

Also, in the mutual connection of the two sets of inverters, display data is inputted to a line connected to the gate of the transistor connected in series with the organic electoluminescent device, and owing to this connection, the write load is reduced, and the high resolution is achieved by enabling to write at high speed.

摘要： The present invention provides a system for performing procedures to request repair, without troubling the driver, when a car breaks down, as well as various onboard peripheral apparatuses and cellular phone used for this system. This system comprises an onboard peripheral apparatus having a failure detector, an onboard main controller for managing car information, a cellular phone which can make wireless connection to the onboard main controller, and a response center for receiving requests for car repairs and maintenance and making arrangements therefor. When a failure is detected, repair request is transmitted to the response center through wireless communication together with the user ID of the driver. Based on this request, the response center acquires remedy information from a car manufacturer and makes arrangements for repair and provides this remedy information to a repair shop.

摘要： A liquid crystal active matrix display device includes a first substrate having a thin film transistor formed thereon. A light-screening film 1 is located on the first substrate in a manner to be overlapped with an ITO. The display device includes a second substrate having a color filter and a light-screening film 2 formed thereon. The second substrate is opposed to the first substrate. The light-screening film 2 extends from the uncontrollable area by a certain value depending on a voltage from the external, resulting in improving a numerical aperture.
