Since the film length between the metering pawl and the film winding take-up is longitudinally tensioned, the film frame is similarly tensioned at the exposure opening. Thus, the film tensioning positively acts to prevent frame shift during exposure of the film frame.

In a camera, the lever may be used to momentarily move a shutter member away from a lens opening of a camera. The cocking apparatus includes a drive gear, a driven gear having a contact surface for cooperation with the lever, and a resilient member biasing the lever in the rest position. The driven gear is biased in a first position wherein the drive gear and driven gear define a plane. A tooth portion of the driven gear, meshable with gear teeth of the drive gear when the drive gear and driven gear define the plane, effects pivoting of the lever from the rest position to the cocked position. A cam surface disposed on the driven gear translates the driven gear along its rotational axis to space the driven gear from the drive gear when the lever moves from the cocked position to the rest position.

    摘要: A camera is provided that includes a door which is selectively movable between an open position and a closed position and a release which is movable between a home position and an away position for selectively retaining said door in said closed position. Door position, release position and film sensors each have at least two states for determining the position of the door and release and for determining presence of film in the camera. The sensors are disposed within an electric circuit for allowing operation of the camera as a function of the states of the sensors. The release is selectively displaceable from the home position for retaining the door, to the away position for releasing the door and the camera is operable only when the door position sensor is disposed in a state corresponding to the door being closed, the release position sensor is disposed in a state corresponding to said release being in the home position and the film sensor is disposed in a state corresponding to film being present in the camera. A film position sensor determines whether film is disposed in a film plane of the camera and maintains operation of the camera uninterrupted by the electric circuit as long as the film position sensor indicates that film is disposed in the film plane.

    摘要: An electromagnetic control device for a camera or the like is provided with a magnet core having an attracting face and with an armature pivotally connected to a control member for movement about a pivot axis to allow tilting of an attracted face of the armature into intimate face contact with the attracting face of the magnet core. The control member is pivotally mounted for movement about a pivot axis, to swing the armature to urge its attracted face against the attracting face of the magnet core, until the attracted face is tilted into intimate face contact with the attracting face. A degree of free play exists at the pivotal mounting of the control member to allow the control member to move about the pivot axis of the armature after the attracted face of the armature is tilted into face contact with the attracting face of the magnet core. Thus, the control member will be moved first about its pivot axis to effect face contact of the two faces and then about the pivot axis of the armature to permit overtravel of the control member to a particular position.
