    摘要: A ceramic slurry composition is obtained by mixing a ceramic raw material powder, a water-soluble acrylic binder and water, wherein the water-soluble acrylic binder has a weight average molecular weight of from about 10,000 to 500,000, and has an inertial square radius of not more than about 100 nm in water. The ceramic slurry composition can have a low viscosity as well as good dispersion characteristics for the ceramic raw material powder, good flow characteristics and good form characteristics, and can provide ceramic green sheets having a high density and excellent drying characteristics, by decreasing the solution viscosity, without decreasing the molecular weight of the water-soluble acrylic binder containing a hydrophobic component.

    摘要: In a magnetic disk drive, a head carriage assembly includes a slider which is directly adhered to a carriage. The assembly, therefore, needs a minimum of constituent parts and a minimum of assembling steps. The absence of a conventional metal plate reduces the thickness of the assembly and, therefore, the overall thickness of the disk drive. The weight of the assembly is reduced in the front part of the carriage. This successfully reduces a period of time necessary for an overshoot and vibration occurring during seek due to a drive motor to attenuate, thereby reducing the reading time and writing time.

    摘要: A blood pressure measuring apparatus including an inflatable cuff which is adapted to be wound around a body portion of a living subject, an air pump which supplies a pressurized air to the cuff to inflate the cuff and thereby increase an air pressure in the cuff, so that the cuff presses the body portion of the subject, an air tank which is connected to the air pump, an air restrictor which is provided between the air tank and the cuff, a deflation-control valve which is provided between the restrictor and the cuff to control an amount of discharging of the pressurized air from the cuff and thereby control deflation of the cuff, a control device which controls the air pump to supply the pressurized air to the cuff while controlling the deflation-control valve to discharge a controlled amount of the pressurized air therethrough from the cuff, so as to increase the pressure of the cuff linearly at a predetermined first rate, and a measuring device which measures at least one blood pressure value of the subject based on a pulse wave which is produced from an artery of the body portion of the subject in synchronism with a heartbeat of the subject while the pressure of the cuff is linearly increased at the first rate by the control device.

    摘要: An exposure apparatus for exposing in a step-and-scan manner a plate-like member to a pattern with radiation so that images of the pattern are transferred onto different regions on the plate-like member. The apparatus includes a mirror imaging optical system for projecting the image of the pattern onto the plate-like member, a carriage for scanningly moving, at the time of exposure, the plate-like member relative to the mirror imaging system, and a stage movably mounted on the carriage for step-feeding the plate-like member at the time of non-exposure so as to sequentially place the different regions of the plate-like member at an exposure station under the mirror imaging system. A locking system is provided to lock the stage relative to the carriage by use of vacuum, at the time of exposure, whereby unwanted displacement of the plate-like member relative to the carriage at the time of scanning exposure is prevented. Also, any positional deviation which may be caused by the locking of the stage is compensated for, by controlling supply of air pressure to linear air-bearings supporting the carriage.
