The interleaver may assign at least one binary bit of information, among a plurality of binary bits of information to be transmitted, to one of a plurality of spatial streams based on a current modulation type. A subsequent binary bit of information, among a plurality of binary bits of information to be transmitted, may be assigned to a subsequent one of the plurality of spatial streams based on the current modulation type and/or a subsequent modulation type. The interleaver may assign at least one additional bit of information, among the plurality of binary bits of information to be transmitted, to one of a plurality of spatial streams based on the current modulation type and/or the subsequent modulation type.

The present invention includes a method and apparatus of compensating for time sensitive or frequency sensitive channel fading using minimum mean square error. The time sensitive channel fading is represented by the vector [H(t)], and the interference compensation is performed by multiplying the incoming data by a minimum mean square error factor that is determined as [(H*·H+1/SNR)−1·H*]. More specifically, the H* represents channel matching and (H*·H+1/SNR)−1 represents interference cancellation due to channel fading over time or frequency.

Before sending transmissions, a request to send (RTS)/clear to send (CTS) exchange takes place between a transmitting wireless communication device and multiple receiving wireless communication devices may take place therein. The transmitting wireless communication device (e.g., an AP) may generate and transmit a multi-user request to send (mRTS) frame to a number of receiving wireless communication devices (e.g., STAs). The mRTS frame can include information and instructions therein to direct the manner by which all or a subset of the receiving wireless communication devices are to provide CTS responses back to the transmitting wireless communication device. The mRTS frame may be an OFDMA frame, a MU-MIMO frame, or a combination thereof. The CTS responses may be received in accordance with any one or combination of OFDM signaling, OFDMA signaling, and MU-MIMO signaling.

    摘要: A method for feeding back transmitter beamforming information from a receiving wireless communication device to a transmitting wireless communication device includes a receiving wireless communication device receiving a preamble sequence from the transmitting wireless device. The receiving wireless device estimates a channel response based upon the preamble sequence and then determines an estimated transmitter beamforming unitary matrix based upon the channel response and a receiver beamforming unitary matrix. The receiving wireless device then decomposes the estimated transmitter beamforming unitary matrix to produce the transmitter beamforming information and then wirelessly sends the transmitter beamforming information to the transmitting wireless device. The receiving wireless device may transform the estimated transmitter beamforming unitary matrix using a QR decomposition operation such as a Givens Rotation operation to produce the transformer beamforming information.
