As a result, a bi-directional optical communication module of an inexpensive construction can be obtained, which can receive the desired waveband light only without using a special component such as a wave separator and does not return the unwanted waveband light to the light transmission line.

A blue light emitting element B and green light emitting element G are coupled in series with each other to constitute a ring. The coupling points of these elements are used as a first connecting point 24 and a second connecting point 26. The one electrode of a red light emitting element R is connected to the first input terminal 24 and the other electrode thereof is used as a third terminal. By adjusting the voltages to be applied to the input terminals 24, 26 and 28, the light emitting state of each light emitting element is adjusted. Therefore, it is only required that wiring is made for these three input terminals. With the input state of the input terminal 24 being fixed, only the input states of the input terminals 26 and 28 are changed using switches SW1 and SW2 so that the light emitting state of each light emitting element can be adjusted. Thus, the device structure inclusive of its wiring can be further simplified, thereby realizing high density display of the light emitting device.

A double planetary carrier is constructed by providing separate carriers for carrying therein two sets of planet gears which are axially set apart from each other, and by connecting the two carriers together. A cylindrical portion is formed on a periphery of a side plate of one of the carriers to receive therein a side plate of the other carrier. Serrated teeth are formed respectively on a periphery of the side plate and on the cylindrical portion to connect the two carriers by means of serrations. The serrated teeth are formed so as to have a play therebetween. Between the side plates there are formed radially extending oil grooves to introduce lubricating oil into oil holes which are formed in gear shafts of the planet gears.
