Abstract:
A baler is comprised of a plurality of reversibly driven belts or chains supported on a plurality of transverse rollers and defining an expendable bale-forming chamber. A bale discharge gate is provided for opening the chamber and discharging a bale therein onto the ground. The gate includes at least a portion of the belts or chains and a motor for driving the belts or chains in a direction opposite to that used for bale formation and is further operable to bring a portion of the belts or chains into contact with a discharged bale and to displace the bale rearwardly from the baler along the ground.
Abstract:
A hauling or towing vehicle has a power take-off shaft that can be activated and deactivated selectively by way of a coupling. The apparatus has drivable elements that can be connected to the power take-off shaft. An electronic control unit of the apparatus is connected via a bus to an electronic control unit of the hauling or towing vehicle. The electronic control unit of the apparatus is connected to a sensor for detecting a living creature present in a danger zone of the machine. In the case that a living creature is detected in the danger zone, the electronic control unit of the apparatus causes the electronic control unit of the hauling or towing vehicle to order an actuator to disconnect the coupling of the power take-off shaft and/or to prevent the actuator from closing the coupling.
Abstract:
A belt tracking control device for a conveyor device is provided, in particular for agricultural round balers, having at least one roller and at least one traction element which is guided over the roller and having at least one edge region which extends from the side edge of the traction element in the direction of the width thereof. At least one guide roller is provided through which the edge region can be deflected from the movement plane of the traction element.
Abstract:
A wrapping means tensioning device is provided for a round baler and comprises an idler assembly and an application assembly. Wrapping means, like net, when drawn during a wrapping cycle acts onto the idler assembly, which in turn will press an application element of the application assembly against a roll, on which wrapping means is stored. This provides for proper tension during a wrapping cycle without the need for springs or the like, the force of which would need to be overcome, when a wrapping device is brought into a non-operative loading mode.
Abstract:
An agricultural press has material receiver for picking up a swath of crop material from the ground and delivering it to the press chamber. A material hold-down device extends over the material receiver and is mounted for vertical movement relative to the material receiver. During normal operation the hold-down device moves over a first range of movement in response to changing swath thicknesses. If a material jam should nevertheless arise, the material hold-down device can be moved in total or in part, either mechanically or manually, over an second range of movement in addition to the first range of movement in order to be able to liberate the wedged material.
Abstract:
A combination is provided of an agricultural implement and vehicle. The implement includes components that can be driven that are connected to a power take-off shaft of the vehicle, the components being covered by at least one manually opened cover. A sensor is also provided to detect the open status of the cover, that is coupled to an electronic control unit of the implement. The electronic control unit, is connected with an electronic control unit of the vehicle. The electronic control unit of the implement instructs the electronic control unit of the vehicle in case of an opening of the cover detected by the sensor and advises an actuator to disengage a clutch of the power take-off shaft and/or to prevent the actuator from engaging the clutch.

Abstract:
A baling press having a pressing chamber and an apparatus for wrapping a bale in a wrapping web and having at least one rotating conveyor element is proposed, wherein the conveyor element advances the wrapping web to the bale.
Abstract:
A crop collecting assembly includes a first collecting unit located between a pair of further collecting units. All of the units operate to gather crop from the ground and feed it to the rear where it may fall to the ground or enter a harvesting machine, such as a self-propelled baler, for further processing. At least one of the further collecting units is adjustable laterally so as to be spaced from the first collecting unit, and a crop-transferring bridging element is provided in the space between the two units for receiving crop from the further collecting unit and delivering the received crop to the first collecting unit.
Abstract:
A press is provided with a feed channel, whose feed channel wall, in the event of overload, can be pivoted away from a feed rotor. The pivotal motion of the feed channel wall is realized about an upstream bearing, which, by means of a link, is itself moved away from the feed rotor in an upright guide. The motion within the guide is derived from the pivot motion of the feed channel wall away from the feed rotor. A hydraulic cylinder, working against a spring defined by an accumulator, is coupled to a downstream end of the channel wall and resists movement of the channel wall away from the feed rotor, but yields under a preselected crop load.
