摘要: A plasma display panel sustain-discharge circuit. First and second signal lines for supplying first and second voltages and at least one inductor coupled between one end of the panel capacitor and a third voltage are formed. Energy is stored in the inductor through a path formed between the third voltage and the first signal line in a state where a voltage of one end of the panel capacitor is substantially fixed to the first voltage. The voltage of one end of the panel capacitor substantially decreases to the second voltage using resonance current generated between the inductor and the panel capacitor and the stored energy. Energy is stored in the inductor through a path formed between the third voltage and the second line in a state where a voltage of one end of the panel capacitor is substantially fixed to the second voltage. The voltage of one end of the panel capacitor substantially increases to the first voltage using the resonance current generated between the inductor and the panel capacitor and the stored energy.

摘要: A scan electrode drive of an apparatus for driving a plasma display panel includes a switching output circuit, a reset/sustain circuit, an upper scan circuit, a lower scan circuit, a first switching circuit, and a second switching circuit. The switching output circuit includes upper transistors, lower transistors each paired with corresponding upper transistor, and common output lines of the respective upper and lower transistor pairs, and the common output lines are connected to the scan electrode lines, respectively. The reset/sustain circuit outputs the driving signals during the reset period and the display-sustain period. The first switching circuit connects or disconnects the upper common power line of all of the upper transistors of the switching output circuit to or from an output terminal of the reset/sustain circuit. The second switching circuit connects or disconnects the lower common power line of all of the lower transistors of the switching output circuit to or from the output terminal of the reset/sustain circuit.

摘要: A panel driving method for driving pixels of a panel. The pixels are classified into a plurality of groups and the pixels of one of the plurality of groups are addressed and sustain-discharged before the pixels of another one of the plurality of groups are addressed and sustain discharged. In the panel driving method, a frame period for displaying a single image is divided into a plurality of sub-fields, each of which has a predetermined gradation, and the sub-fields are selectively operated to determine a gradation of visual brightness for each cell. In at least one of the sub-fields, an address period and a sustain period are sequentially performed on the pixels of each of the groups. While an address period is being performed on the pixels of a one of the groups, the pixels of other groups are idle. While a sustain period subsequent to the address period is being performed on the pixels of one of the group, a sustain period is selectively performed on the pixels of each of other groups that have already undergone an address period.

In the method, an externally input image signal is divided into frames and each frame is divided into a plurality of subfields allocated a predetermined brightness value. The method includes detecting a frequency of each grayscale, which indicates the number of cells to be displayed for each grayscale in a frame, comparing the frequency of each grayscale with a predetermined reference value, and adjusting at least one among the number of grayscales in the frame and the number of subfields in the frame according to the result of the comparison to set subfields in the frame.

摘要: An average bidirectional flow tube, including a body having two side plates and upper and lower plates, a partition plate installed to be perpendicular to the side plates of the body so that front and rear ends of the tube are separated from each other, and two pairs of pressure impulse lines installed at front and rear positions of the partition plate. The upper and lower plates of the body each have a curvature to be in contact with an inner surface of a pipe in which the average bidirectional flow tube is installed, and each of the pressure impulse lines is installed to communicate with an interior of the pipe. Although a two-phase flow occurs in the pipe or the flow of the fluid flowing in the pipe is changed, an average flow rate of a fluid can be measured. Particularly, it is easy to measure an average flow rate of the fluid when the fluid flows at a low speed. Further, even when sudden pressure reduction occurs in the pipe, an additional cooling device is not required. When a two-phase flow occurs in the pipe, the fluid suffers a phase change due to the sudden pressure reduction of the pipe, or a stratified flow occurs due to the two-phase flow in a horizontal pipe, it is unnecessary to displace the average bidirectional flow tube.
