摘要: A master side communication apparatus and a slave side communication apparatus wherein the structure of a receiving part of the slave side communication apparatus is simplified to achieve a reduced size, a reduced power consumption and a reduced cost. The master side communication apparatus performs a communication in synchronism with the slave side communication apparatus having no synchronization timing adjusting function. A transport signal generating timing adjusting part of the master side communication apparatus acquires, from the slave side communication apparatus, synchronization signal generation timing information used when the slave side communication apparatus receives the transport signal from the master side communication apparatus. The transport signal generating timing adjusting part varies and adjusts, based on the acquired information, the transmission timing of the signal to be transmitted to the slave side communication apparatus. A transmitting part transmits the transport signal at the adjust transmission timing. The occurrence timing of the transport signal is varied and adjusted until the slave side communication apparatus becomes able to receive the transport signal from the master side communication apparatus.

摘要: An information processing apparatus having a simplified switching function of a user is disclosed that can reduce the processing burden upon a CPU and eliminate an action that is not intended by its user. If an application, which implements a function of a device or the like that is not supported as a standard device by an OS and is started up for each user, has been started up by a first user who is not active at present, that is, a user in a logon state whose desktop has been switched to that of a second user, then part of the processing of the application is temporarily stopped. Then, if it is detected that the first user is rendered operative, that is, when the desktop is switched to that of the first user, the processing of the application of the first user is re-started. Since the processing of the application by the user (first user) who is not active at present is temporarily stopped partially, the other user (second user) who is active at present can execute its processing without being influenced by the processing of the former user.

摘要: The present invention provides a cyclone separator made up of a cyclone portion for generating an eddy flow at a given flow rate by feeding a liquid containing a fine substance from liquid discharge passageways, for transferring the fine substance to an outer circumferential side by applying a centrifugal force to discharge the fine substance-free liquid from a liquid flow-out passageway, and for precipitating the fine substance by decelerating the eddy flow. The liquid discharge passageways are disposed at plural sites and the cyclone separator further contains a liquid pressurizing chamber formed around the plural liquid discharge passageways in communication therewith, and a liquid introduction passageway for introducing the liquid containing the fine substance into the liquid pressurizing chamber.

摘要: A transmitting device includes a continuous pulse generating unit, modulating unit, and output unit. The continuous pulse generating unit continuously generates multiple impulse waveforms at arbitrary time intervals but shorter than the pulse string repetition cycle. The modulating unit modulates continuous pulses generated by the continuous pulse generating unit, using transmission data. The output unit outputs a modulated pulse modulated by the modulating unit. The receiving device includes a modulated pulse receiving unit that receives a modulated pulse transmitted from the above-mentioned transmitting device; and a demodulating unit that receives transmission data by demodulating a modulated pulse received by the modulated pulse receiving unit.

摘要: A rectangular penetration hole is formed opening in the opposite two main surfaces of a first dielectric substrate. Conductors for grounding are respectively formed on the main surfaces, to cover the openings of the penetration hole. A conductor layer is formed on opposite inner walls in the penetration hole of the dielectric substrate. A waveguide is structured by a space surrounded by the conductors and the conductor layers. The waveguide is magnetically coupled with an input/output line on a second dielectric substrate through a coupling slot. Because a waveguide has walls made continuous in the dielectric substrate, a low-loss waveguide can be realized. Hence, a high-performance radio frequency module can be realized.

摘要: An optical disk apparatus is provided, in which the optical disk tray can slide smoothly in and out, and the insertion and removal of an optical disk is facilitated, and wherein inadvertent scratches are not produced on the optical disk surface, and flying pieces of optical disk damaged during rotation are completely prevented from exiting the apparatus. By dividing a protrusion for preventing a damaged optical disk from flying out of the apparatus into a first protrusion and a second protrusion, with one protrusion provided on an optical disk tray and the other on a support member, any possibility of the optical disk flying out of the apparatus can be completely prevented, even if the height of each of the first and second protrusions is lowered. Because the second protrusion is lowered, the protrusion will not catch on the optical disk tray or the optical disk, and so a smooth sliding operation of the optical disk tray can be ensured.

摘要: A millimeter wave module includes a silicon substrate with first and second cavityes formed by anisotropic etching on the silicon substrate, and a glass substrate having a microstrip filter pattern and microbumps for connecting the glass substrate to the silicon substrate. A filter is provided using an air layer as a dielectric disposed in the first cavity. An MMIC is mounted by the flip chip method over the second air layer. A coplanar waveguide is on the silicon substrate for connecting the filter and MMIC. The filter having low loss is achieved because it has the microstrip structure using air as an insulating layer. Also change in characteristics of the MMIC during mounting is eliminated because the MMIC is protected by contacting air. Accordingly, the millimeter wave module has excellent characteristics and is made using a simple method.
