    Abstract: An integral fan-out connector assembly for fiber optic cables includes a connector housing that provides an integrated fan-out housing and connection adapter. The fan-out connector housing may be configured with a variety of cable adapters, and may be installed as a ‘plug and play’ type solution where it will be ready to accept a feed cable for use when needed.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a Network system including: a connector comprising a housing comprising a groove running widthwise on a surface of the housing; and a push-pull tab comprising a complementary groove, wherein the push-pull tab is detachably connected to the housing; and a receiver device comprising one or more ports for receiving the connector, the one or more ports having an interchangeable anchor device including a first portion and a second portion; wherein the groove is configured to receive the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, and wherein the complimentary groove is configured to receive the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, the push-pull tab being configured to disengage the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the complementary groove when the push-pull tab is moved in a direction away from the connector, thereby disengaging the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the grove of the connector.     Abstract: Low profile optical fiber connectors comprising a ferrule, a plug frame configured to receive the ferrule, and an outer housing configured to receive the plug frame. The outer housing may be configured to protrude less than about 2 mm from one end of an adapter when the low profile optical fiber connector is inserted into the adapter. The connector may include a boot sized such that the boot protrudes from the end of the adapter by less than about 15 mm.

    Abstract: Connector assemblies having an adjustable polarity are described. A connector assembly comprises a frame comprising a single housing having top and bottom frame components, first and second plug frames located within the housing, a first ferrule located in the first plug frame, a second ferrule located in the second plug frame, and a latch component attached to the top or bottom frame component, the latch component having at least one compression element. The latch component is configured to rotate around the housing when the at least one compression element is compressed to change the polarity of the connector assembly from a first polarity when the latch component is located at a first polarity position to a second polarity when the latch component is located at a second polarity position.

    Abstract: Reduced-profile connection components are described. The reduced-profile connection components are configured to connect various data transmission elements, including cables, network devices, and computing devices. A non-limiting example of a connection component includes a fiber optic connection component, including connectors, adapters, and assemblies formed therefrom. In some embodiments, the connection components may include mechanical transfer (MT) and multi-fiber push-on/pull-off (MPO) connection components, such as MT ferrules and MPO adapters. The reduced-profile connection components configured according to some embodiments have a smaller profile and/or require less parts to achieve a connection compared to conventional connection components. In some embodiments, the reduced-profile connection components may be used with conventional connection components. For example a reduced-profile connector may use a conventional MT ferrule to establish a connection within a conventional MPO adapter.

    Abstract: Optical fiber connectors and adapters are disclosed. A connector includes a flat pin assembly including a pin, a mechanical transfer ferrule boot disposed around at least a portion of the assembly, a housing disposed around at least a portion of the ferrule, and a low profile key. The housing includes first, second, top, and bottom sides. The first and second sides include a recess. The top side includes a groove. The low profile key includes a fastening mechanism configured to interlock with the groove. An optical fiber adapter includes first and second adapter ends each having one or more connecting arms. Each adapter end is configured to receive a separate optical fiber connector. The first and second adapter ends are configured to couple the separate optical fiber connectors to each other when received.
