摘要： A movement assistive device includes a vertical lift module and a horizontal extension module. The vertical lift module has a lift table vertically movable upward and downward. The horizontal extension module is arranged atop the lift table to move upward and downward along with the lift table and can be driven to switch horizontally between a first state and a second state. A wheelchair equipped with the movement assistive device is also disclosed. With the movement assistive device, the wheelchair can be vertically lifted and lowered as well as be horizontally displaced, and can therefore be conveniently moved from a ground surface onto a carrier and vice versa.

The frame extends over the base and is configured to move from a position spaced above the base at a first height wherein the frame may be extended over and proximate a support surface for engaging the sling when placed on the surface to another position spaced at a height greater than the first height after engagement with the sling. The sling is adapted to be engaged by the frame, which provides lateral support to the sling, wherein when the frame and sling are raised to the greater height the sling is raised above the surface so that a person supported on the sling may be lifted off the surface with the sling and the frame and supported in a stabilized sitting position so that the person can moved away from the surface.

The lift includes a power actuating system, a platform assembly having first and second platform sections, a linking assembly having first and second vertical arms connected to the platform assembly, and first and second fold-facilitating links connecting the first and second vertical arms respectively to the first and second platform sections. The linking assembly connects the power actuating system to the platform assembly. During a folding process, the first and second fold-facilitating links cause the first platform section to pivot with respect to the second platform section and the first vertical arm to move with respect to the second vertical arm.
