    摘要： A mistake proof cable assembly for promoting short time engine assembly and method of assembling same. The mistake proof cable assembly comprises a slotted member defining a slot having an open end, and a cable connected to the slotted member and extending longitudinally through the slot. First and second restrainers are mounted on the cable on opposite sides of the slotted member for limiting free movement of the cable in the longitudinal direction of the slotted member. A lock prevents removal of the cable from the slot through the open end thereof.

    摘要： A jet engine nozzle having a pair of pivoting extension arms and a pair of pivoting shells connected to a jet pipe is provided. The first extension arm is pivotally connected to the jet pipe at a first location, while the second extension arm is pivotally connected to the jet pipe at a second location. Each shell is pivotally connected at both the first and second locations. An axis of rotation associated with the first location is coaxial to an axis of rotation associated with the second location. Independent actuation means are provided to rotate the extension arms and the shells, thereby enabling adjustment of the thrust-vector angle or the exhaust area of the nozzle.

    摘要： In an axial flow gas turbine engine, a shear wire flange joint for an aft centerbody having an outer ring flange, and an inner ring flange that are held close together and a locking member interposed therebetween is provided. The flanges are specially configured to achieve positional alignment and a uniformly shaped groove is machined into the surface of both the inner and the outer ring flange. The circumferential grooves are aligned to form a space between the flanges. A wire is inserted into the space through a window provided in the outer ring flange. The wire locks the inner and the outer ring flange together by preventing axial movement of the inner and outer ring flanges relative to one another.

    摘要： An assembly for a turbomachine nozzle having a longitudinal axis (X) includes an exhaust cone with an annular outer wall for guiding a primary air flow and an annular chamber placed radially inside said annular outer wall. The annular chamber includes an annular inner wall placed radially inside the annular outer wall of the exhaust cone. An exhaust case is placed upstream of the ejection cone. A connecting member is interposed longitudinally between the exhaust case and the exhaust cone and fastened to the exhaust case and to the annular inner wall. The assembly further includes elastic means configured to deform radially and prestressed radially between the annular outer wall and the connecting member.
