Kelvin are combusted by passing at least a portion of the admixture into contact with a mesolith combustion catalyst operating at a temperature below the adiabatic flame temperature, to produce reaction products of incomplete combustion. The incomplete combustion products are then ignited in a reaction chamber, thereby stabilizing combustion.

    摘要: A process for operating a heater that can be operated with hydrocarbon fuel, especially for a vehicle includes providing a substoichiometric air/fuel mixture in a precombustion chamber (18) for a combustion operation and performing a cold flame combustion in the precombustion chamber (18). The precombustion products forming in the precombustion chamber (18) during the cold flame combustion are supplied to a catalyst arrangement (32) and a partial catalytic oxidation is performed for producing a gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide. The gas produced during the partial catalytic oxidation is supplied to a main combustion chamber (34) for producing a hydrogen/carbon monoxide/air mixture. The hydrogen/carbon monoxide/air mixture is burned in the main combustion chamber (34).

    摘要: A hot air blower includes a shell including a fan mechanism, a combustion device, a vane mechanism, and a flame protector disposed therein. The vane mechanism includes a clipping seat and a plurality of guiding vanes extended thereon. The plurality of guiding vanes extend obliquely and prevents the air passing through the vane mechanism from generating turbulence. The clipping seat and the flame protector form a half-closed combustion chamber therebetween. Heat in the half-closed combustion chamber causes a thermal expansion of the air and, thereby increasing a speed and a volume of the air passing the guiding vanes of the vane mechanism. The heated air is discharged from an external flow tube and which controls a heating range of an area of the hot air blower.

    摘要: A method used for combustion of a fuel-oxidizer mixture in a combustion chamber of a turbogroup, in particular of a power plant wherein total oxidizer flow is divided into a main oxidizer flow and a secondary oxidizer flow. The main oxidizer flow is lean mixed with a main fuel flow in a premix burner, and the mixture is fully oxidized in the combustion chamber. The secondary oxidizer flow is divided into a pilot oxidizer flow and a heat-exchanging oxidizer flow. The pilot oxidizer flow is rich mixed with a pilot fuel flow, and the mixture is partially oxidized in a catalyst, with hydrogen being formed. Downstream of the catalyst, the partially oxidized pilot fuel-oxidizer mixture and the heat-exchanging oxidizer flow are together introduced into at least one zone which is suitable for stabilizing the combustion of the main fuel-oxidizer mixture.

    摘要: Engineers have attempted to reduce undesirable emissions from internal combustion engines by using apparatuses, such as catalytic reformers that include pre-combustion catalysts. An apparatus of the present invention includes an apparatus housing that defines at least a first flow inlet and includes an upstream support and a downstream support. The upstream support defines a plurality of second flow inlets, and the downstream support defines a first portion and a second portion of a plurality of outlets. A plurality of second flow paths are defined by a plurality of tubes extending between the plurality of second flow inlets and the second portion of the plurality of outlets. At least one first flow path is defined by a plurality of surfaces and fluidly connects the first flow inlet with the first portion of the plurality of outlets. At least one surface of the plurality of surfaces is coated with a pre-combustion catalyst. The downstream support preferably includes a plate with a predetermined porosity.
