The connected device includes an early warning disconnect power management circuit, operational to generate power consumption control information in response to generation of the early warning disconnect signal from the electrical connector. In one example, the electrical connector includes a lock release mechanism and a signaling mechanism, the signaling mechanism is operationally coupled with the lock release mechanism and configured to generate the early warning disconnect signal from the electrical connector to the connected device prior to the lock release mechanism being in an unlocked state.

    摘要: An electrical receptacle to prevent injuries deduced by misoperation is provided in the present invention. The electrical receptacle includes a power socket, a direct current (DC) power supply, a detecting switch, a controller, and a relay form a circuit loop for detecting whether a power plug is inserted into the power socket. The detecting switch is placed under the power socket without any electrical connection with the power socket. A live wire is connected to the power socket via a switch of the relay and a neutral wire is connected to the power socket directly. The switch of the relay closes on condition of the relay is electrified by the DC power supply.

    摘要: An electrically safe receptacle that in it's normal quiescent state will not have electrical current flow. Said electrically safe receptacle will be equipped with normally-open switches on one or both female conductors that are controlled by a strategically placed sensor to detect the insertion of a male plug. Detection of the male plug insertion will signal the normally open switches to close the circuit pathway and allow for the flow of electrical current to the device permitting normal operation. Insertion of a foreign conductive device such as a hair pin, knife blade, or metallic tool in one or both female conductors will fail to activate the sensor and thereby reduce or eliminate the possibility of accidental electrocution by preventing the flow of electrical current.

    摘要: A switched outlet module which controls power to one or more electrically powered devices which are connected to the module and which are under the control of a wall switch has a plurality of output jacks. A first pair of output jacks are switched outlet jacks and a second pair of output jacks are unswitched outlet jacks. A switching device is coupled to the plurality of outlet jacks to control which of the plurality of output jacks are the switched output jacks. Connectors are coupled to the switched outlet jacks for connecting remote controlled devices that control electronic devices coupled to the switched outlet jacks. Control circuitry is coupled to the switching device to monitor and limit a current through the switched outlet jacks, to monitor and limit a current through the switching device, and to interpret signals from remote controlled devices coupled to the connectors. Contacts are coupled to the control circuitry to couple the module to a switched electrical receptacle. A pair of touch switches are coupled to the connectors. The pair of touch sensors will allow one to control both switch output jacks.
