摘要： A bearing alignment and insertion tool wherein a gimble bearing must be rotatably aligned with a grease fitting during insertion. The tool utilizes an alignment shaft with a cylindrical mounting sleeve slidably positioned thereon. A mounting plate secures the tool to the engine's bell housing allowing incremental advancement of the shaft there against. The shaft is keyed to the cylindrical sleeve advancing same against the bearing for proper insertion and seating.

摘要： An alignment fixture includes a rotor fixture, a stator fixture and a sensor system which measures a rotational displacement therebetween. The fixture precisely measures rotation of a generator stator assembly away from a NULL position referenced by a unique reference spline on the rotor shaft. By providing an adjustable location of the stator assembly within the housing, the magnetic axes within each generator shall be aligned to a predetermined and controlled tolerance between the generator interface mounting pin and the reference spline on the rotor shaft. Once magnetically aligned, each generator is essentially a line replaceable unit which may be readily mounted to any input of a multi-generator gearbox assembly with the assurance that the magnetic alignment will be within a predetermined tolerance.

Among other things, the fixture can include a flange adapted for mounting to a combustor component, an elongated mandrel, and a plurality of radially extendable jaws. After mounting the fixture to a combustor component, the jaws can engage an inner peripheral surface of a transition so as to properly align the transition with a target axis of alignment. The fixture can be configured to measure the size of any shims needed at the base of the flexible support bracket. Further, the fixture can also include various gauges to validate the alignment of the inlet end of the transition.

摘要： A handheld hydraulic assembly tool for advancing a fitting's swage ring onto a fitting's connecting body while a conduit is received in the connector body to mechanically and sealingly connect the fitting to the conduit includes a clamping assembly defining a piston chamber fluidly connected to a pump chamber. The clamping assembly has a fixed jaw adapted to engage one of the connector body and the swage ring and a moveable jaw adapted to engage the other of the connector body and the swage ring. A piston is disposed in the piston chamber. The piston and the moveable jaw are configured such that movement of the piston in a first direction moves the moveable jaw toward the fixed jaw thereby moving the swage ring axially onto the connector body to mechanically and sealingly connect the connector body to the conduit received therein when the jaws are engaged to the connector body and the swage ring. A pump body defines the pump chamber and is connected to the clamping assembly. A fluid reservoir is fluidly connected to the pump chamber. A manually-operated pump piston is disposed in the pump chamber for drawing hydraulic fluid from the fluid reservoir and forcing the drawn hydraulic fluid into the piston chamber to move the piston in the first direction.

摘要： A tool for reattaching a leader pin assembly to the data tape of a data tape cartridge utilizes a base that snaps onto the cartridge body. The tool opens the door of the cartridge and the loose leader tape inside the cartridge is laid in an alignment channel. A leader pin is inserted into a set of receptacles over the tape, and a clip is inserted into a pocket within an arm on the tool. The tape is then folded and pulled down over the leader pin and held in the alignment channel with a finger of the user. The arm of the tool, which retains the clip, is then pivoted from a disengaged position to an engaged position. The clip snaps over a center section of the leader pin and the folded tape to form a leader pin assembly, thereby securing the tape in the leader pin assembly.

The retainer includes a body and nut retaining tabs extending from the body. Each tab loosely carries a flanged nut. The member has a body with a plurality of openings spaced to be received on a plurality of threaded studs. The retainer and captured nuts are attached to the member to form a retainer assembly, which holds the member and nuts together until the member is installed on the studs of the larger assembly. The retainer assembly is positioned on a plurality of studs and the nuts are threaded onto the studs. The nut retainer is then removed from the member, leaving the member attached to the studs. The retainer may then be reused to install similar members.
