摘要: A method and apparatus processes data representing measured values which are liable to show a poor consistency. Measured values are formed in groups; an average value and a discreteness value of a first group of measured values are calculated; an average value is presented as a most appropriate value to a display only when the discreteness value is below a reference value; otherwise, an average value and a discreteness value of the first and additional groups of measured values are calculated, and the recalculation is continued until the discreteness value has come to be below a reference value which decreases with the number of additional groups of measured values of which an average value and a discreteness value are calculated. The average value is presented as a most appropriate value to a display when the discreteness value is below the reference value.

摘要: The method according to the invention consists of sampling, at successive times separated by constant or non-constant time intervals, signals supplied by redundant channels measuring or calculating the parameter and validating a value of said parameter, as a function of a sample of N values of each channel, in which N.gtoreq.2. In a preferred manner, each sample of N values is modeled by a straight line using the method of least squares and the validated value of the parameter is worked out as a function of the inter-coherent models.

摘要: A digital indication type length measuring system includes a length measuring device having a spindle which can be brought into abutting contact with a work to be measured, an encoder for representing a displacement of the spindle as an electric signal, and an output circuit for outputting measured length information data obtained from the electric signal from the encoder to a cable. A data processing device includes an input circuit coupled to the cable for receiving data from the length measuring device, a processing circuit for processing data received by the input circuit in a predetermined manner to produce quality control data, and a printer for printing out the quality control data. The quality control data includes a histogram. When the length measuring and data processing devices are disconnected from each other, each measured length is displayed on a digital indicator which is provided on the length measuring device and which is repsonsive to the electric signal from the encoder.

摘要: In a method of estimating a fracture point of a pipe line network, a group of estimating rules based on distribution characteristics of extraordinary pressure variation, pipe line characteristics and flow continuity requirements in a fracture accident monitoring system for such networks represented by a large scale water distribution pipe line network are applied to reference data of flow rates and pressures both obtained in the normal consumption condition, and to measured data of the flow rate and the pressure to estimate the fracture point. In the method, application order of individual ones of the group of the estimating rules is decided in accordance with data conditions of the pipe line network. In the case that a range of a set of suspected abnormal joints can not be reduced sufficiently to the extent of a practical tolerance limit, a numerical simulation which supposes the existence of fracture on a certain joint in the set of suspected abnormal joints is conducted to further reduce the range of the set of suspected abnormal joints through a comparison between results of the numerical simulation and measured results. In order to increase an estimating speed, a parallel processing is conducted for the estimating rules which utilize only local data in the pipe line network, by way of a plurality of the special purpose reasoning processors.

摘要: A vibration monitoring apparatus for monitoring vibrating conditions of a plurality of rotary machines comprising a signal processor for processing actual data relative to levels of vibrations of the rotary machines and a control processor for storing in memory reference data relative to selected rotational frequencies and corresponding alarm levels for the rotary machines. The vibration waveform of one vibration sensor selected by a scanner is converted by an A/D converter into digital data to be supplied to the signal processor through a shift register. The signal processor is operated under program control to determine the peak-to-peak magnitude of the vibration waveform and compares it with the alarm level provided from the control processor. When the peak-to-peak magnitude of the vibration waveform exceeds the vibration alarm level corresponding to the selected rotary machine, an alarm signal and indicating signals are generated by the control process and sent to output appliances for indicating the vibrating condition thereof.

摘要: A digital electronic length or angle measuring instrument includes an arrangement for error correction. A signal generator delivers periodic analog reference signals R.sub.S1, R.sub.S2 which are compared in a comparator with scanning signals S.sub.1, S.sub.2 generated by the measuring instrument. In accordance with the result of the comparison in the comparator, the reference signals R.sub.S1, R.sub.S2 are altered as a function of correction data for symmetry, amplitude ratio, phase angle, and signal form, which correction data are determined in a correction component and are supplied to setting members included in the signal generator. In this way, an in dependence on the correction data, improved reference signals are generated which then form a basis for the next comparison in the comparator.

摘要: A digital tone detector circuit characterizes the received PCM encoded signals as one of a plurality of call progress tones, voice signals or silence. The PCM signal is linearized and normalized to a predetermined level in a digital automatic gain control circuit which also provides a signal corresponding to the level of the input signal. A first circuit is responsive to the linear signal for providing a count of the zero level traversals incurred by the linear signal. An envelope detector circuit is also responsive to the linear signal for providing a signal representing the envelope frequency thereof. The composite results corresponding to the signal level, the zero-level traversal count, and the envelope frequency are translated in an evaluation logic circuit to provide an output signal representing the identity of the input PCM signal. A microprocessor is responsive to a plurality of the output signals from the evaluation logic circuit for determining the cadence of the received PCM signals.

摘要: Method and apparatus for concurrently and interactively displaying a selected plurality of measurable properties of geophysical data to empirically derive the best combined presentation of the selected attribute properties for interpretation. The technique of the present invention allows the interpreter to more easily comprehend simultaneous variation of several geophysical data attributes and to relate the effects to a specific end result for the geophysical indicators of interest. In accordance with the method, the one or more geophysical attribute variables are quantified and then rasterized so that the data is represented as a gridded variable area display wherein color intensity of the grid units is some function of the instantaneous variable. The resulting data is then loaded into digital refresh memory of an image processing computer whereupon it us interactively mixed for analysis in accordance with operator selected colors and color intensity weighting.

摘要: Image processing sections and associated circuitry for generating signals indicative of the centered moments of a sliding submatrix window of signals located within a larger image matrix are disclosed. The processing sections include registers for storing signals indicative of the columnar sums of the signals within an intermediate submatrix of signals and for storing the sum of a subset of the columnar sums that is thereby indicative of the sum of the signals within the sliding submatrix window and, further is equivalent to an uncentered moment of the signals within the sliding submatrix window. The signals stored in the registers are continuously updated as the sliding submatrix window is sequentially moved within the image matrix. The associated circuitry combines the uncentered moment signals to produce centered moment signals.
