摘要： A method is provided for applying personalized indicia, such as a photograph, to a balloon. The method includes employing a commercially available copier to reproduce an image from a photograph onto a thin plastic film having a pressure sensitive adhesive backing. The plastic film is then adhered to a deflated balloon, and the balloon is subsequently inflated. The image applied to the plastic film conforms to the non-planar shape of the balloon without becoming separated therefrom.

摘要： A portable rooftop sign includes a large flexible mesh sheet having a plurality of characters or logos disposed on an upper surface. A plurality of sleeves are attached to a lower surface of the sheet. The sign is installed on a generally planar roof of a building near an airport. Elongated weights or rods are slidably inserted into each of the sleeves to secure the flexible sheet to the roof. Each of the elongated weights comprises a plurality of rod sections which are removably connected by threaded ends. Portable light sources on the roof illuminate the sign at night or in low visibility. In colder climates, electric heating elements embedded in the sheet prevent snow and ice accumulation by melting the snow and ice, which then drains through the mesh sheet and is removed by the normal drainage of the roof.

The displays may be in a single two dimensional plane, or the grid structure may be bent and twisted in a desired shape to provide a three dimensional display.

The structure is comprised of three distinct sections which may be compactly transported and then easily assembled and connected around the landing gear on the underside of the aircraft. 摘要： A structure suspended from an aircraft for carrying an advertising sign. The structure consists of a frame connected to the aircraft wings by link bars and universal joints and rigidly connected at its center portion to the aircraft fuselage. The link bars permit free horizontal movement of the side portions of the frame to prevent drag loads from being transmitted to the wings, allowing the wings to flex in a normal manner. The frame has diagonal brace wires which transmits the drag loads to the fuselage. Ballast weights may be added to the forward or rearward ends of the frame to provide a desirable location of the frame center of gravity line relative to the wings.
