摘要： An adjustable light includes a knock down base frame, a vertical frame, which supports a boom arm, which in turn supports a light fixture. The light fixture is supported on the boom arm by a fixture mount that provides five degrees of freedom of movement of the light fixture relative to the boom arm. The boom arm is pivotally mounted to the vertically adjustable frame, thereby providing two additional degrees of freedom to the light fixture relative to the ground. The base frame includes two legs that are movably secured to the base frame. The base frame and the legs include wheels, the wheel supports being movably mounted to the frame and legs to allow for free movement on any planar surface on which the adjustable light is supported. The boom arm and the shield of the light fixture include bumpers to prevent damage by inadvertent contact to a surface. The lens in the fixture is replaceable to allow the user to use different lenses as dictated by the job requirements. A typical lens includes a substantially opaque section approximately one inch wide that is positioned in the center of the lens and runs the length of the lens.

A pivot coupling selectively interconnects the upper and lower portions of the support pole for rotation between an extended position wherein the upper and lower portions are aligned to support the light at a raised unobstructed location above the boat, and a fully retracted position wherein the upper and lower portions are folded together in a parallel relationship to reduce the length of the support pole to facilitate storage on the boat.

摘要： A portable task lighting device which comprises an elongated fluorescent light assembly that casts a broad, glare-free, and cool flood of light and is rotatably connected to the distal end of a boom arm for a full 360.degree. of rotation. Its boom arm can be fixed into a plurality of positive locking positions both above and below the top of its mast by adjustment of a pivot block supported by the mast. The preferred embodiment of the lighting device has a telescoping mast with a square cross-sectional configuration. The mast supports the proximal end of the boom arm and provides extension between approximately thirty-two and ninety inches. The mast is supported by a base assembly having two shorter rear legs which are adjustable laterally relative to one another and two elongated front legs which are locked into position at a predetermined stationary angle by insertion of the mast within a square opening through the top of the base assembly. Thus the lighting device of the present invention is adjustable into an infinite number of positions, and in addition it is configured to be quickly and easily collapsed into a compact configuration by the removal of one quick-release pin and the loosening of several quick-release clamping devices that secure the mast and rear legs in place during use. Applications may include, but are not limited to, use for a wide variety of light-sensitive work projects that for proper completion require a direct source of shadow-free lighting.

Affixed to the top of the housing (17) is a handle (81) surrounded by an insulating sleeve (83).

The arm is connected on either side of the tilting point. A counterweight is attached to the arm through a holder. The arm can be flexible and the holder can have an at least partially oval shape in longitudinal section. A concave part can be formed on the arm. This concave part can be engaged by a wheel on a stand in order to support the arm and body.

The bracket (16) is disclosed in three designs: an inverted L-bracket (18), a double U-channel bracket (20) and a channeled L-bracket (24). In all designs, the bracket supports a primary-power junction box (26) and a detachable light-fixture attachment T-section (28). To each end of the T-section (28) is removably attached a light fixture assembly (34). The assembly includes a pair of legs (42,44) that when compressed fit into the end of the T-section (28). Conversely, when they are removed from the T-section (28), the two legs extend outwardly to allow the light fixture assembly (34) to be placed on a flat surface remote form the assembly (10). In a preferred embodiment, the two legs (42,44) have inserted a leaf spring (46) that automatically places the two legs in their extended position when the legs are removed from the light-fixture attachment T-section (28).

摘要： A portable hazard-warning light assembly (10) that is designed to warn on-coming vehicular traffic of a hazardous traffic/road condition. The assembly (10) consists of an elongated tubular body (12) having attached to its top edge (12A) a removable lens head (18) that houses an incandescent light bulb (62) that may be connected to a flasher (36). The bulb and flasher are powered by a single battery (60) that is housed within a battery compartment (20) located at the bottom edge (12D) of the body (12) and that includes a threaded battery compartment cover (28). The body (12) also has attached a slidable leg ring (34A) that has pivotally attached four retractable legs (34D) that are each supported by a leg brace (34H). To extend the legs, the ring (34A) is grasped and lowered. Conversely, to retract the legs, the ring is moved to its upward position. To apply power to the light bulb (62), the cover (28) is rotated which allows the battery (60) to move upwards and complete the electrical power circuit.
