摘要： The invention is a very lightweight pad or base for use with a small portable stove such as those used by backpackers or mountaineers. It provides a stable bearing surface when the stove is used on unstable surfaces such as snow or sand. The pad comprises an exterior frame which completely encloses a spider-like structure on which the stove rests. Preferably two legs of the spider have upstanding cleats to engage the base of the stove. A third leg has an attached spring which also engages the stove base to bias it firmly against the cleats and hold the stove in place. These legs are preferably spaced about 120.degree. apart. The spider may contain additional legs to increase strength and bearing surface. Since the cleats are of very low profile the pad is essentially planar and takes up little space in a backpack.

摘要： A cooking unit has a frame or a bowl-shaped vessel. Supported by the frame or bowl-shaped vessel is a horizontal support with a center opening therethrough. A firebox vessel with an open top depends from the horizontal support and is disposed in the center opening of the horizontal support. A fire grate on which fuel elements are seated is disposed in the firebox vessel below the center opening of the horizontal support. A cooking grill is disposed over the center opening of the horizontal support. Combustion air enters the firebox vessel through an opening above the fire grate other than the open top of the firebox vessel to supply combustion air to the burning fuel elements. The interior of the firebox vessel reflects the heat produced by the fuel elements toward the food on the cooking grill.

摘要： Folding camp stove/oven apparatus includes a first housing portion, a second housing portion, a leg portion and leg retaining portion. The first housing portion includes a quadrangular bottom section and two pivotally connected sidewall sections extending upwardly from opposite bottom section with an intermediate divider section edges. The second housing portion includes a quadrangular top section and two pivotally connected endwall sections extending downwardly from opposite edges of the top section with U-shaped sections extending therefrom. Single flange sections that extend frome edges of the top section bear against the endwall sections. A smoke pipe opening is located in the top section. First and second openings with cover members are located in two of the sidewall or endwall sections. The leg portion includes a pair of leg assemblies, each including two right angle leg members spaced to engage adjacent lower corners of the apparatus with spaced parallel connector members joining same. A first connector member joins upper sections of faces of the leg members disposed in the same plane. A second connector member spaced lower than the first connector member joins faces of the leg members disposed in parallel planes with the spacing between the connector members being sufficient to permit sliding the leg assemblies over the combined first and second housing portions when folded in a flat configuration. The leg retaining portion includes first retainers disposed adjacent an edge of the bottom section and second retainers extend downwardly from the bottom section spaced from the bottom section edge.

摘要： A portable outdoor cooking apparatus is provided. The preferred embodiment consists of a conical shaped base unit with a round, flat fire-pit area located in the lower portion of the cone. The ground beneath the outdoor cooking apparatus is protected by means of a heat baffle and two air spaces. 摘要： A portable barbecue grill knocks down readily into a compact state for travel or for storage in a limited space. In the assembled state, the unit is larger than known portable grills which cannot be disassembled at all or are difficult to disassemble, and the unit is capable of grilling several large steaks or cooking larger cuts of meat. When disassembled, the fire pan nests within the cover and has its open top covered by a base plate of the unit during transport or storage.
