    Abstract: A windshield for a balance which has a door that can be automatically opened and closed or half opened and half closed is provided. The windshield includes doors to which air cylinders are joined as driving means, sensors for monitoring movements of the doors, pressure sensors configured to monitor a pressure of air to be supplied to the air cylinders of the driving means, and a control unit configured to stop an air supply to the air cylinders when a pressure of air monitored by the pressure sensor exceeds a predetermined value. Stoppers are disposed on movement paths of the doors to block movement, and when air pressure inside the air cylinder increases to the predetermined value due to contact with the stopper, the door stops. The door can be freely fully opened and half-opened according to the position of the stopper.

    Abstract: A tire testing apparatus of drum type includes a drum having, on a circumferential outer surface thereof, a sensor for measuring a ground contact force of a tire and a transparent portion; an image capturing device for capturing, from inside of the drum and through the transparent portion, an image of the ground contact surface of a tire; a ground contact force measurement processing unit which measures a ground contact force of a tire in planner contact with the sensor; a ground contact surface image capture processing unit which captures an image of the ground contact surface by the image capturing device when the tire comes into planner contact with the transparent portion; and a slip amount calculation unit which calculates a slip amount based on a displacement of a corresponding location which corresponds to a ground contact surface of the tire for which a measurement is made.

    Abstract: A tire testing apparatus of a drum type includes: a drum including a transmission portion on an outer circumferential surface; an imaging device that images a ground contact surface of a tire from an inside of the drum via the transmission portion; a ground contact surface imaging processing unit that images, using the imaging device, the ground contact surface when the tire is brought into ground contact with the transmission portion; an edging processing unit that performs edging processing for image information of the imaged ground contact surface of the tire; a division processing unit that performs division processing for the image information subjected to the edging processing into regions which satisfy a predetermined resolution condition; a matching processing unit that performs matching processing by using the divided regions; and a slip amount calculation processing unit that calculates a slip amount and a ground contact surface moving amount.

    Abstract: Provided is a balance with a windshield having a door to be smoothly opened and closed either manually or automatically. Provided is an electronic balance with a windshield including a balance main body including a weighing mechanism connected to a weighing pan, a windshield having doors capable of opening and closing by sliding, and configured to form a weighing chamber by covering the weighing pan, and actuators configured to open and close the doors, wherein the actuator includes a double-acting type air cylinder having two ports serving as air intake ports, an air pump-to be connected to the two ports, two valves respectively interposed between the air pump and the two ports and configured to make the ports communicate with and shut off from the atmosphere, and a control device configured to control the two valves-to make the two ports communicate with the atmosphere when the air pump is stopped. Without a special mechanism, switching between automatic opening and closing and manual opening and closing can be made, and in either automatic or manual opening and closing, the doors of the windshield are smoothly opened and closed.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic balance with a windshield having a door to be automatically smoothly opened and closed. Provided is an electronic balance including a balance main body including a weighing mechanism connected to a weighing pan, a windshield configured to form a weighing chamber by covering the weighing pan, slidable doors provided in the windshield and constituting portions of the weighing chamber, holders configured to support the doors from upper portions in a hanging manner, guide members configured to engage with the holders and slidably support the holders, and air cylinders connected to the holders and configured to slide the door through the holders. The holders supporting the doors in a hanging manner are directly moved by the air cylinders, so that the doors can be smoothly opened and closed.

A viscometer includes a machine part that generates a shear rate in a sample, a machine drive, a shear rate changing means that outputs a target shear rate of the machine part, and a displacement detection sensor that measures displacement of the machine part, and performs feedback control to control a driving force of the machine drive so that an output value of the displacement detection sensor corresponds to the target shear rate and measures a viscosity of a sample, wherein a feedback gain is simply set for each measurement according to an optimum design or target shear rate.
