摘要： A method for controlling distribution of crop material to a cleaning sieve of an agricultural combine, for reducing grain loss, including while the combine is tilted sidewardly relative to horizontal, involving controlling the angular orientation of a distributor disposed between a threshing system of the combine and the sieve, for distributing a mat of the crop material onto the sieve evenly across an extent thereof. The angular orientation of the distributor can be set in advance of tilting of the combine, to adjust for a variety of conditions, including uneven outputting of the crop material from the threshing system, and the set orientation can be automatically maintained or actively adjusted to control a desired operating parameter such as grain loss, even as the combine is variously tilted and the angular orientation of the sieve relative to the combine is independently adjusted to maintain the sieve horizontal.

摘要： A rigid rotor discharge deflector apparatus for a combine has a body member that is attachable to the side wall of a discharge passage at the downstream end of the rotor. The body has a face portion with at least one ridge portion thereon extending generally laterally across at least a portion of the face portion. The body also has an upper body portion above the level of the ridge portion, an upper ramp portion sloped and extending outwardly from the upper body portion to the ridge portion, and a bracing associated with the upper ramp portion maintaining the ridge portion essentially fixed relative to the side wall. The body member may also include a lower body portion below the level of the ridge portion, and the upper and lower body portions may both be attachable to the side wall.

摘要： A clean grain and tailings conveying system for an agricultural combine, including a pan fixedly mounted beneath a lowermost sieve of a cleaning system. The pan includes a tailings receiving portion disposed below a peripheral edge portion of the sieve, for receiving tailings which fall downwardly from the edge portion during operation of the sieve, and a clean grain receiving portion disposed beneath the sieve for receiving clean grain which falls downwardly therethrough during the operation of the sieve. The pan includes at least one elongate collecting conveyor including a clean grain collecting portion which extends longitudinally through the clean grain receiving portion of the pan, and a tailings collecting portion which extends longitudinally through the tailings receiving portion, for separately receiving and collecting the clean grain and the tailings received by the pan, and conveying the clean grain and tailings to transfer conveyors that can also be part of the pan.

摘要： A transverse fan assembly including a fan rotatably disposed in an air plenum for driving air through an inlet opening and forcing air from an outlet opening defined by the air plenum. The fan includes an elongated axis of rotation defined by a central hub. A plurality of elongated fan blades extend in an axial cylindrical pattern about the hub to define an open-center fan. The fan further includes two disk-shaped fan blade mounting members arranged toward opposite ends of the fan. Each blade mounting member is connected to and extends radially from the hub. The fan blades are connected to and driven by the blade mounting members whereby establishing an air flow through the inlet opening and from the outlet opening. Each fan blade mounting member is apertured to allow air to be drawn endwise and inwardly through the fan mounting members to the open center of the fan from whence the air is exhausted by the rotating fan blades in a manner eliminating end air effects and providing a substantially even flow of air from the outlet of the air plenum and along the length of the fan.
