Based at least in part on the one or more identifiers, a shipping label corresponding to a destination location for the asset to be returned to is automatically generated or a location for the asset to be delivered to is automatically changed.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for engaging, lifting, and moving objects such as wheeled cargo trailers are provided. In one embodiment, a mobile apparatus includes a transport mechanism, a frame, and one or more lift assemblies. The lift assemblies may be adjusted using one or more attached actuators that position the lift assemblies and/or components thereof for engaging and lifting an object. The transport mechanism may be autonomously operated. A vision system may be used to locate and identify objects and/or guide the mobile apparatus into position to engage and lift the objects. An adapter for a pneumatic braking system of a wheeled cargo trailer is also provided. The adapter provides a pneumatic attachment for a pressurized air source that is separate from a glad hands connector attached to the braking system.

Abstract: Generally, embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods that can facilitate delivery and access to an unattended home. A location of the unattended home for a drop off of the item is determined based on information received from a user or information associated with a user profile, the information including permission to enter the unattended home. Location data for a carrier device is determined based on receiving satellite positioning data from the carrier device, the location data of the carrier device indicating that the carrier device corresponds to the location of the unattended home. Information associated with an identifier affixed to the item is also determined. Access to the unattended home is granted based on transmitting a signal to at least one of a home monitoring system and a networked home device at the unattended home when the information corresponds to the location data from the carrier device.

Abstract: An unallocated item/product inventory is maintained in each of a plurality of delivery vehicles traversing service routes within a delivery service area. Upon receipt of an order for delivery of an item/product that may be selected from the item/product inventory maintained within a delivery vehicle and that is to be delivered to a destination location within the delivery service area, a delivery vehicle driver is instructed to deliver an item/product selected from the item/product inventory located on the delivery vehicle during the corresponding service route on the same day that the order was placed. A delivery label for the item/product is printed, and the delivery vehicle driver secures the printed delivery label to an item/product selected from the unallocated item/product inventory, and delivers the item/product to the destination location on the same day the order was placed.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to concepts for on-boarding potential new customers for a carrier, wherein each potential new client has unique requirements. A method for on-boarding new clients comprises steps for identifying the unique requirements of the potential new customer by comparing the new customer's business model against identified issues common to entities having similar business models. Based on the identified unique requirements of the potential new customer, instructions for implementing required special procedures are generated. A pricing strategy is generated based on the identified customer requirements and any special procedures necessary for implementation of the customer requirements. During implementation, the provided services are monitored, and reports and/or alerts are generated for the customer and/or the carrier. Moreover, the identified issues common to certain business models may be updated to reflect new issues identified during implementation of the service.

Abstract: Computer-implemented methods, apparatus, and computer program products are provided. A first image comprising at least a portion of a package is received from a first user device. A first set of location information associated with the package is extracted from the first image. An electronic shipment record associated with the package is then identified based on the first image. A second image comprising at least a portion of the package is then received from a second using computing device. A second set of location information is extracted from the second image, and the second set of location information is compared to the origin location. If the origin location and the second set of location information match, a shipment confirmation is generated. And, responsive to generating the shipment confirmation, delivery of the package is facilitated in accordance with the determined electronic shipment record.

Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for arranging for shipping a package without the customer needing to generate or apply a shipping label, or any other information, to the package. In one embodiment, a system may comprise a carrier server and a carrier device. The carrier server may receive and store a smart code and shipping information associated with the package, which it may link together. The carrier device may capture the smart code from the package and send a request, including the smart code, to the carrier server for related shipping information. The carrier server may receive the request from the carrier device, retrieve the shipping information based on the smart code, and send the shipping information to the carrier device. The carrier device may receive the shipping information and generate a shipping label for the package based on the shipping information.
