摘要: A press-connecting joint connector with which electrical wires can be readily connected to each other, and a method of press-connecting the electrical wires to the 5 connector. The joint connector (31) includes a connector body (33) with a wire inserting section (47) in which the wires are to be inserted and a press-connecting blade (43) provided in the wire inserting section (47). The wires (W1) and (W2) are inserted in the wire inserting section (47) and the insulation of the wires is cut by the blade such that the blade electrically interconnects the wires. Thereafter, a cutter is inserted into the connector body to thereby cut the waste end portion (105) of at least one of the wires inside the connector body (33). The cutting step may be performed simultaneously to when the wires are pressed into the blades.

摘要: A molded cushioning article is made by stuffing a bulky, tape-form nonwoven web such as sliver in a mold cavity and thereafter heat-treating the thus-formed molded form to fusion-bond intersecting points of fibers. Stuffing of the tape-form nonwoven web is effected by laying and superposing it in to-and-fro movements on a molding surface of a mold permeable to air with a space on a backside of the molding surface being kept under reduced pressure. The apparatus used has (a) means for feeding the tape-form nonwoven web into the mold, (b) a mold permeable to air, (c) a mold-supporting frame, (d) suction means for keeping the backside space under reduced pressure, (e) means for successively changing a positional correlation between means (a) and the molding surface, and (f) heat-treating means for fibers to be fusion-bonded.

摘要: A high strength aluminum alloy is expressed by a general formula, Al.sub.a X.sub.b Mm.sub.c, in which "X" stands for at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zr, "Mm" stands for a misch metal, a content "a" of aluminum falls in a range of from 95.2 to 97.5 atomic %, and a content "b" of "X" and a content "c" of the "Mm" fall in a hatched area enclosed by points "A," "B," "C" and "D" of accompanying FIG. 1 on atomic % basis, and whose metallic phase includes microcrystalline phases or mixed phases containing amorphous phases in a volume content of less than 50% and the balance of microcrystalline phases. As a result, the amorphous phases or the microcrystalline phases are dispersed uniformly in its base microcrystalline phases appropriately, and at the same time the thus generating base microcrystalline phases are reinforced by forming solid solutions including the "Mm" and the transition metal element "X" as well. Hence, the high strength aluminum alloy comes to have a low specific gravity and a high strength which have not been available from conventional Al amorphous alloys.

摘要: A surface acoustic wave resonator has a plural number N of interdigital transducers arranged in a sequence on a piezoelectric substrate to generate N surface acoustic wave signals with a predetermined frequency f.sub.0 and having phase difference of 2.pi./N radian therebetween. Oscillation circuits are individually connected to the N interdigital transducers and generate N oscillation signals with the same frequency f.sub.0 and having phase difference of 2.pi./N radian therebetween. These oscillation signals are multiplied together to generate a signal with frequency N times the predetermined frequency f.sub.0.

摘要: An output correction method for a proportional-output type O.sub.2 sensor including an oxygen concentration detecting element formed by an oxygen-pumping element and a cell element, each of the oxygen-pumping element and the cell element being composed of a wall of a solid electrolytic material having oxygen ion-conductivity, and a pair of electrodes having the wall interposed therebetween. The oxgen-pumping element is supplied with an output voltage corresponding to a difference between a voltage developed between the electrodes of the cell element and a predetermined reference voltage, and current flowing in the oxygen-pumping element is detected. A correction resistance supplies information indicative of a deviation of an air-fuel ratio detected by the sensor with respect to a predetermined reference air-fuel ratio. A correction value is determined on the basis of the information and the direction of flow of the current. The detected current is corrected by the use of the determined corrected value. A desired air-fuel ratio is calculated on the basis of the corrected current.
