摘要： A card reading apparatus is used in an identification card system for identifying a card holder utilizing identification information recorded on an identification card. The reading apparatus is arranged to reproduce identification information recorded on the card. A display displays the reproduced identification information. After the card is discharged from the apparatus, the display is arranged to continue to display the reproduced identification information to enable the information to be checked against information printed on the card.

摘要： A buffer member is installed so as not to rotate around an axis relative to a vacuum rod. An engaging part is provided at one end of the buffer member, and an engaging part to be engaged with the engaging part is provided at a rear end of a nozzle member. The nozzle member is prevented from rotating around the axis through the engagement of the engaging parts.

摘要： An electronic component installing apparatus includes a transporting unit for transporting an electronic circuit board to the apparatus at a predetermined position thereof and transporting the electronic circuit board therefrom, a head, having a suction nozzle, for drawing thereto an electronic component placed on an electronic component supply unit and installing the electronic component on the electronic circuit board, a device for placing the head at a given position along an X-axis and a Y-axis, and an optical signal transmitting/receiving device. The optical signal transmitting/receiving device includes first and second optical signal transmitting/receiving units for transmitting/receiving optical signals between the first and second units so as to control operation of the apparatus. The first unit is disposed at the head, and the second unit is disposed at a fixed section of the device.
