摘要: Method and apparatus for variable help content and abandonment intervention based on customer behavior in computer applications. A pattern detection and intervention mechanism may be provided that may collect usage and possibly other data for the application for a plurality of users of the application and analyze the usage data to determine usage patterns. The collected data and determined usage patterns may then be used by the pattern detection and intervention mechanism to look for and detect deviations from expected behavior and/or patterns of abnormal behavior. Embodiments may provide one or more methods of intervention to provide context-specific help or otherwise assist users for which deviations from expected behavior and/or abnormal patterns of behavior are detected. The detection that users are having difficulty with the application and proactive intervention when such difficulties are detected may help to prevent the users from abandoning the application.

摘要: To provide an erasing device whose power consumption required for erasing operations is suppressed, which does not spoil the portability of an optical writing type display medium. In a first display function layer, voltages applied to two cholesteric liquid crystal layers when an erasing voltage is applied between a pair of electrodes are defined as V1, V2, respectively, and threshold voltages with which the cholesteric liquid crystal layers change to the homeotropic alignment are defined as Vth1, Vth2, respectively. In that case, in a state the voltages V1 and V2 are determined according to only each resistance of the cholesteric liquid crystal layers and resistance of a photoconductive layer, i.e., a sufficient time has passed from a point at which the erasing voltage is applied, V1≧Vth1 and V2≧Vth2 apply.

摘要: In a transmitter, at least one pilot carrier which is modulated with a signal sequence including a reference pilot signal sequence represented by any of amplitude modulation vectors {α, α, −α, −α}, {α, −α, −α, α}, {−α, α, α, −α}, and {−α, −α, α, α} where α represents a real number other than 0, is generated, and an OFDM/OQAM multicarrier modulation signal is transmitted. In a receiver, the OFDM/OQAM multicarrier modulation signal is demodulated, and transmission channel characteristics are estimated and corrected based on two successive demodulation vectors in a time direction which are obtained by demodulating the pilot carrier.

摘要: A transflective LCD includes a LC layer sandwiched between a pair of substrates, and a pair of polarizing films. The LCD device includes a reflection area and a transmission area in each pixel, the transmission area having a reflection film. A retardation film has a first portion in the refection area between the reflection film and the LC layer, and a second portion in the transmission area between the LC layer and the rear polarizing film. The retardation film has a slow axis perpendicular to an initial orientation direction of the LC molecules upon absence of an applied voltage and perpendicular or parallel to the optical axis of the front polarizing film. The orientation of the LC molecules upon display of a dark state has a direction different between the reflection area and the transmission area.

摘要: In a liquid crystal panel, a reflective pixel electrode and a transmissive pixel electrode in a unit pixel are supplied with an image signal output from a data line drive circuit, the two mutually different scanning signals output from a scanning line drive circuit, and common signals output from a common line drive circuit. The phase of the image signal is set different from that of the common signal. Further, a period during which the two scanning signals are selected is set in one horizontal period, the ending of the selection period for one of the scanning signals is set to a point in time before an electrical potential of the common signal changes, and the ending of the selection period for the other scanning signal is set to a point in time after the electrical potential of the common signal changes.

摘要: Information is displayed by irradiating a visible light on a specific position based on at least one of vehicle state information, vehicle surrounding information, and vehicle interior information. For example, the visible light is irradiated on a target switch based on signals indicating an on/off state of a headlamp operation switch and an on/off state of a key switch. A user 5 can easily confirm the target switch and unerringly operate the target switch. A visible light irradiator 6 is arranged in a vehicle compartment and irradiates the visible light to display information in the vehicle compartment. The information can be provided for the user 5 in a novel manner.
