Abstract: An airbag cover, a method for manufacturing the same, and an airbag device in which a wound or folded cushion can be stowed in a shape so as to fit in a prescribed location in a vehicle cabin, and which can protect the cushion from an obstacle. An airbag cover that encloses a bag-like cushion that is wound or folded and stowed within a vehicle cabin and expands and deploys using gas supplied from a built-in inflater, wherein the airbag cover includes a first base material made from a plain woven fabric or non-woven fabric made of synthetic fibers, and a second base material integrally bonded to the first base material and having a higher initial tensile resistance value than that of the first base material.

Abstract: To effectively retain a deployed airbag without increasing installation man hours, in addition to suppressing rotation of this airbag in a direction away from a seat. For example, a side airbag apparatus 1 installed inside a backrest SB of the seat S includes: an airbag 2; an inflator 3 provided inside the airbag 2; a tether 4; and a bracket 5. The airbag 2 is deployed in a first direction in which a base end side 2a thereof is attached to a seat back frame SBF and the tip side thereof is distant from the backrest SB. The tether 4 includes: one end 4a attached to the seat back frame SBF; and the other end which extends in the first direction on the outer surface of the airbag 2 in the deployed state so as to be attached to the part on the tip side 2b of the airbag 2. A bracket 5 is attached to the seat back frame SBF and provided in the direction in which the tether 4 extends. The tether 4 is supported by the front end of the bracket 5.

Abstract: A steering wheel assembly having a steering wheel base plate, a safety airbag and a cover and a housing, wherein the cover and the housing define a space for accommodating an airbag and a light-emitting mark. The light-emitting mark includes an electronic control element, a mark portion, and a flexible circuit board. The electronic control element is configured to be based on a rigid printed circuit board. The flexible circuit board is configured to have a first end connected to the electronic control element and a second end connected to the mark portion so that the electronic control element controls light emission of the mark portion by means of the flexible circuit board. The electronic control element is arranged in a first position in the steering wheel assembly. The mark portion is arranged in a second position in the steering wheel assembly. The second position is positioned at the cover.

Abstract: A driver's side airbag device 100 is provided with a diffuser 124 that is contained in an airbag cushion 104 and straightens gas flow from an inflator 112. The diffuser 124 has a connecting part 136 that is connected to the inflator 112 and one or a plurality of supply ports that supply gas received from the inflator 112 into the airbag cushion 104. The supply ports include a passenger side supply port 148 that overlaps at a predetermined location of the occupant side panel 120 of the airbag cushion 104 with the diffuser 124 contained therein. The driver's side airbag device 100 is further provided with a temporary stitched part 150 that breakably stitches the diffuser 124 and a predetermined portion of the occupant side panel 120 of the airbag cushion 104 across the occupant side supply opening 148 of the diffuser 124.

Abstract: An airbag device installed in a vehicle seat having a seat cushion forming the seat surface and a seatback forming the backrest, and an inflator that generates expansion gas and an airbag that is deployed by the expansion gas released from said inflator. The airbag includes a pair of left and right side chambers that deploy forward from the side of the seatback and primarily protect the occupant's waist to shoulders, and an upper chamber that is continuous with the side chambers, deploys forward above the side chambers, and mainly protects the occupant's neck and head. On the left and right sides of the seatback, the location on the side where the seatbelt crosses near the shoulder is the first side, and the side opposite to said first side is the second side. A recess is formed on the first side of the airbag where the seatbelt fits.
