    摘要: In a small-sized optical module, opposite side surfaces of a collimator lens (2) and opposite side surfaces of a polarization compensating filter (5) are fixed to opposite side surfaces of a rectangular frame (4). Two open surfaces are provided in the rectangular frame (4), so that optical components can be finely adjusted easily, and a large number of small-sized optical components can be aligned and assembled accurately. Reinforcing members (6) are provided in the open surfaces of the rectangular frame (4) so that the shape of the rectangular frame (4) can be retained against external force. After a diffraction grating (3) is fixed to the reinforcing members (6), the reinforcing members (6) with the diffraction grating (3) are adjusted, aligned and fixed to the rectangular frame (4).

    摘要: A fibre optic transceiver in which the optical components, interface, management functionality and management interface are all integrated on a single module, capable of being plugged into and removed from the telecommunication's parent system includes a housing having disposed therein a transmitter and a receiver. The housing further includes a pair of rails disposed on opposite sides of the housing to enable the module to be plugged into a suitably configured board. The module is designed primarily for use in 10Gbit serial optical systems, but is equally applicable for use in WDM applications, as well as at other speeds and wavelength.

    摘要: An object of the invention is to provide an optical element housing package in which efficiency of coupling between a plurality of optical fibers and an optical element can be enhanced, and the optical element can be normally operated with stability for a longer period of time. The optical element housing package comprises: a base body having a placement portion formed on its top surface, on which an optical element is placed; and a frame body attached to the top surface of the base body so as to surround the placement portion, which has an optical fiber introducing portion formed in the upper part of its side surface. The optical fiber introducing portion is shaped as a groove having a substantially U-shaped sectional profile, through which an optical fiber is inserted and brazed. A lid body is brazed to the top surface of the frame body.

    摘要: A solder mountable package assembly (1) for securing a passive fiber optic component (12) to a printed circuit board (PCB) according to the present invention includes a package (10), the fiber optic component, and a plurality of pins (11). The package includes a housing (102), a pair of caps (104) closing openings at the ends of the housing, and rubber boots 106 protecting optical fibers entering the housing. The pins are fixed to a bottom of the housing by soldering and the fiber optic component is assembled inside the housing and caps. The package assembly can be fixed to the PCB by inserting the pins through corresponding through holes in the PCB and soldering the pins to the through holes.

    摘要: A photoelectric back plane board is provided to facilitate the relative positioning of an optical data bus and light emitting/receiving devices, interconnection of a circuit board for optical communication and respective elements, and supplying power and inputting/outputting signals to/from the printed circuit board. In the photoelectric back plane board, the optical data bus is inserted into a recess within an optical data bus fixing board and a connector holding light emitting/receiving devices is positioingly fixed to the fixing board via through holes H formed in the fixing board so that relative positioning of the signal light incoming/outgoing areas and the light emitting/receiving devices can be easily achieved. By mounting the fixing board on a printed circuit board on which an electrical connector is provided, interconnection of a circuit board mounted on the optical connector and the printed circuit board is achieved by means of the electrical connector.

    摘要: In a state where an optical connector is mounted and fixed to a circuit board, a grounding piece 12 formed on a shield case 10 is pressed against a grounding wiring pattern formed on the circuit board by a fixing piece formed on a connector housing. A spring piece 13 is formed by cutting and raising a part of the grounding piece 12 into a strip-like shape while remaining another part to be uncut, and then bending the raised part into a substantially V-like shape. In the state where the optical connector is mounted and fixed to the circuit board, the spring piece 13 is interposed between the fixing piece and the circuit board while being elastically deformed to be flattened.
