Abstract: Computing apparatus includes a host processor, which runs a virtual machine monitor (VMM), which supports a plurality of virtual machines and includes a cryptographic security software module. A network interface controller (NIC) links the host processor to a network so as to transmit and receive data packets from and to the virtual machines and includes a cryptographic security hardware logic module, which when invoked by the VMM, applies the cryptographic security protocol to the data packets while maintaining a state context of the protocol with respect to each of the virtual machines. Upon encountering an exception in applying the cryptographic security protocol, the NIC transfers the data packet, together with the state context of the cryptographic security protocol with respect to the given virtual machine, to the cryptographic security software module for processing.

Abstract: A virtual machine memory overcommit system includes an initialization memory, a device memory, at least one processor in communication with the initialization memory and the device memory, a guest operating system (OS) including a device driver, and a hypervisor executing on the at least one processor. The hypervisor is configured to expose the initialization memory to the guest OS of a virtual machine, initialize the guest OS, and expose the device memory to the guest OS. The device driver is configured to query an amount of memory available from the device memory and report the amount of memory available to the guest OS.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to provisioning private virtual machines in a public cloud and to managing private virtual machines hosted on a public cloud. In one scenario, a computer system receives authentication information for a private domain from an entity. The entity indicates that their private virtual machines are to be provisioned on a public cloud, where the entity's private domain is accessible using the authentication information. The computer system establishes a virtual network on the public cloud which is configured to host the entity's private virtual machines, where each virtual machine hosts remote applications. The computer system establishes an authenticated connection from the virtual network to the entity's private domain using the received authentication information and provides the entity's private virtual machines on the public cloud. The remote applications provided by the private virtual machines then have access to data stored within the entity's private domain using the authenticated connection.

Abstract: A cloud based identity management system that handles a plurality of published events that are published and consumed by microservices provides a dynamic queue that includes one or more active queues and one or more inactive queues. Embodiments create selectors for all of the active queues and the inactive queues and binds subscribers to each active queue. Embodiments dynamically cause at least one of the inactive queues to become one of the active queues when a number of published events increases.

Abstract: A data parallel pipeline may specify multiple parallel data objects that contain multiple elements and multiple parallel operations that operate on the parallel data objects. Based on the data parallel pipeline, a dataflow graph of deferred parallel data objects and deferred parallel operations corresponding to the data parallel pipeline may be generated and one or more graph transformations may be applied to the dataflow graph to generate a revised dataflow graph that includes one or more of the deferred parallel data objects and deferred, combined parallel data operations. The deferred, combined parallel operations may be executed to produce materialized parallel data objects corresponding to the deferred parallel data objects.
