    摘要: A color cathode ray tube having a striped phosphor screen is provided, in which color displacements due to the tube axis (Z-axis) component of the terrestrial magnetism can be decreased at low cost. A positive temperature coefficient thermistor and a degaussing coil are connected in series to an AC power source (AC 100V) via a switch. A rectifier/smoothing circuit is provided in parallel to the positive temperature coefficient thermistor. When the switch is turned on, an ordinary degaussing process due to the AC attenuating magnetic field interlinked to the degaussing coil is performed, and the DC magnetic field in the Y-axis direction interlinked to the degaussing coil decreases the influence of the terrestrial magnetism in the tube axis direction (Z-axis direction).

    摘要: A ferromagnetic shielding funnel having a flange at its wider end for reception within the conical portion of a cathode ray tube, the funnel having support members at the corner portions of its flange. Each support member has a base plate which is attached to the flange and a distal end which has been bent into a V-shape for bearing on a respective pin in the wall of the cathode ray tube. For preventing that the funnel comes loose from the pins, the support members comprise further attachment means with which they are attached to a skirt of the flange. Preferably, the base plate is attached to the flange by means of two first connections to a flange portion which is parallel to a long side of the cone portion and two second connections to a flange portion which is parallel to a short side of the cone portion. The extreme ones of these connections are preferably arranged such that bending of the flange at the corner portions is prevented.

    摘要: An electron gun for a cathode ray tube includes a cathode for radiating electron beams, a scanning velocity modulation coil for synchronizing the electron beams with an image signal, a focus electrode having first and second sub-electrodes disposed with a gap through which a magnetic field generated by the scanning velocity modulation coil passes, a plurality of grid electrodes with the focus electrode for controlling the electron beams radiated from the cathode, a support for aligning and supporting the grid electrodes, and a shield electrode electrically connected to the first and second sub-electrodes to protect against infiltration of an outer electric field. The shield electrode includes plural intermediate electrodes disposed in the gap between the first and second sub-electrodes, and electrical connecting unit for electrically connecting the intermediate electrodes to the first and second sub-electrodes. The intermediate electrodes are spaced away from each other.

The support members project over a small distance into the inner space of the funnel for forming reference faces. The funnel has indentations so that, when two funnels are stacked one upon the other, the indentations in the lower funnel receive the inwardly projecting portions of the support members of the upper funnel, so that damage during and after stacking is prevented.

Each of the short sections includes a cutaway section having a pair of first cutaway sections formed starting from the electron gun opening and extending at a predetermined angle for a predetermined distance toward the screen opening, and a second cutaway section formed starting from where the first cutaway sections end and extending inwardly toward the screen opening, the second cutaway section being formed to extend past imaginary lines formed from where the first cutaway sections end to a furthermost inward point of the second cutaway section, that is, the point of the second cutaway section closest to the screen opening.
