    摘要: Circuit protection devices, power distribution systems, and circuit protection device monitoring in a zone selective interlocking (ZSI) system are described. In one example, a circuit protection device for use in a ZSI power distribution system includes a trip mechanism configured to interrupt current flowing through the circuit protection device, and a trip unit operatively coupled to the trip mechanism. The trip unit is configured to monitor current flowing through the circuit protection device, output a first signal when the monitored current is less than a threshold value, and output a second signal when the monitored current is greater than or equal to the threshold value. The first and second signals are different from each other and different than an absence of a signal.

The module also includes a processing device structured to: (i) receive the at least one output, (ii) determine whether an arc fault in the AC electrical system has occurred based on at least the at least one output, (iii) determine an estimation of background noise based on at least one signal indicative of a current on the AC phase line, and (iv) adjust the at least one corresponding predetermined threshold level based on the estimation of background noise.

Current Ih is therefore likely to travel through a person. In this way, the interface protects people and property against ground insulation faults and against certain direct contacts independently of the earth of the exposed conductive parts and of external conditions. It also protects people in the event of a failure in the protection of an area using the same earth in case of a fault.

    摘要: An electronic circuit for protecting a load against over-voltage is disclosed. The electronic circuit comprises an input port for receiving a voltage and an output port for feeding the voltage to the load. The electronic circuit further comprises a switching unit arranged to switch on and off the voltage from the input port. Moreover, the electronic circuit comprises a capacitive component arranged to receive the voltage when the switching unit is switched on and is otherwise arranged to feed voltage to the output port. Furthermore, the electronic circuit comprises a comparing unit configured to control the switching unit to be switched off when a value at the output port exceeds a first threshold; and to control the switching unit to be switched on when the value is below a second threshold.
