    摘要: A system and method for automatically allocating computing resources of a rack-and-blade computer assembly. The method includes receiving server performance information from an application server pool disposed in a rack of a rack-and-blade computer assembly, and determining at least one QoS attribute for the application server pool. If the QoS attribute is below a standard, a blade server is allocated from a free server pool for use by the application server pool. If the QoS attribute is above a standard, at least one server is removed from the application server pool. An article of manufacture including a machine-readable medium having stored thereon instructions for automatically allocating computing resources of a rack-and-blade computer assembly.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a Don't Disturb Service management system and implementation thereof. The system includes a Don't Disturb Service management center and a subscriber identify module with the Don't Disturb function. In the Don't Disturb Service management center, a content management device records the content of messages and sets attributes for each recorded message; a downlink instruction sending and processing device selects the corresponding message from the content management device according to the service identifier included in the service request up-sent by the subscriber identify module, and constructs the data short messages to be sent, with the content and attribute of the selected message and its attributes in the predetermined format. In the subscriber identify module with Don't Disturb function, a downlink instruction receiving and processing device stores the complete information included in the received data messages into the designated storage file; the interface output device is used to send the information belonging to a category to a user according to the attributes of message stored in said storage file when the user finds out said category.

    摘要: A system allows subscribers quickly to self-activate network-based services by automatically configuring network elements. A service provider preconfigures a state machine on a core server. At the time of self-activation, activations are sent to policy distribution points (PDPs) that translate the activations into device-specific instructions, which in turn configure network elements to provide services. The speed of self-activation is increased by generating activations faster in the core server, by translating activations into device-specific instructions faster in the PDPs, and by separating the configuration of the network elements from complex registration steps. Initiation steps that configure network elements are performed faster by an initiation module that reads from, but does not write to, databases. Subscribers perform dynamic service selection using the initiation module. Initiating services faster results in a more enjoyable user experience as subscribers quickly switch back and forth between network-based services.

    摘要: A system and method for monitoring performance of a wireless network are disclosed. According to one described example, at least one probe is generated. In the example, the probe determines the portion of a wireless network to monitor, the type of the probe, and the number and frequency of the probe or probes to target a specific carrier, a specific system, or a specific geographical area. A probe server generates the probe based on a parameter specified by the user and transmits the probe to a plurality of posts or to the wireless network. In the example, the probe server controls the posts to send and receive probes to the wireless network. In response to the received probes, the wireless network responds by sending feedback information, which can be used to indicate how the wireless network is performing.

The QoS manager is further adapted to configure the correspondent and remote nodes for a desired in-band QoS based on the QoS policy and respective device capabilities.

Methods include receiving a request for IP network service, the request including a required class of service. A storage device that specifies routers and resources available on the routers is accessed. The selecting includes verifying that the resources available on the selected router and port can perform the requested service. Instructions are transmitted to a network configuration system to activate the requested service on the selected router and port. The instructions specify a quality of service corresponding to the required class of service. The storage device is updated to reflect the requested service being activated on the selected router and port.
