    摘要: An aquatic light emitting device comprising a plurality of point light emitting units and a plurality of linear light emitting units is disclosed. The point light emitting unit comprises a floating member part, a light source part, and a power supply part. The floating member includes a hollow body which has an internal space isolated from the outside so as to give buoyancy, one or more junction portions formed on an outer surface thereof, and has a light inlet opening formed on an upper part, and a string connected to a lower surface of the hollow body. The light source part is attached to the upper surface of the floating member, has an isolated internal space with light outlet openings provided at the upper and lower surfaces thereof, and a light source and a light source control circuit contained in the isolated internal space. The power supply part is located on the upper surface of the light source part and includes a solar cell. The linear light emitting unit comprises at least one optical fiber which is introduced into the hollow body through a hole formed at the junction portion, one end of which is arranged at the light inlet opening of the hollow body, and part of which extends outwards through the junction portion, and is surrounded by a transparent tube.

The system includes a user interface for selecting either a neutral, a regeneration or a forward thrust operating mode.     摘要: A ribbon drive pumping apparatus and method for substantially incompressible fluids, such as liquids, is disclosed. The pump has an extended tube having an intake at a first end and an outlet at a second end. A ribbon formed of helical coils is mounted in the tube for rotation and the frequency of the coils decreases from the first end to the second end of the tube. Substantially incompressible fluid is collected at the first end, an axial component of velocity is increased via the rotating ribbon, and the substantially incompressible fluid is ejected from the second end to provide pumping of the liquid. Additional fluid is added to an interior portion of the pump, preferably to a low pressure region, for various purposes such as mixing, cavitation prevention, increased throughput, etc.

    摘要: A controllable pitch propeller for application principally to sailboats employing electric auxiliary power. The design addresses a highly efficient approach to performing four basic functions desirable on sailing vessels that have electrical, or internal combustion, auxiliary power and onboard electrical systems typically employing batteries. The design employs no external nor remote actuator means; instead, blade position (nominal pitch) is inherently "controlled" by the direction of shaft rotation and whether the propeller is acting as a propulsor or a turbine. The four basic functions, or configurations, performed by the design are 1) forward propulsion, 2) reverse propulsion, 3) efficient power generation as a turbine, and 4) feathering for no-power minimum drag. The propeller includes a cambered blade configured with a cross section that would purposely act efficiently with fluid inflow impinging on either edge, depending upon the function being performed.
