摘要： The tilt mechanism has a pair of tubular members and a catch which is fixedly mounted in the upper member and pivotally mounted in the lower member to permit tilting of the two members relative to each other. A pin is mounted in the lower member and is biased into one of several recesses in the lower end of the catch in order to hold the sections in either an upright or a tilted position relative to each other. A coil spring is used to bias the pin into a recess of the catch. Pulling down on the pin allows the tubular members to be tilted relative to each other.

摘要： An instant gazebo is provided which is movable between an open and closed position quickly and which is side supported to allow maximum flexibility for placement of furniture in the gazebo. The gazebo includes an openable and closable canopy to which is connected a screen enclosure which extends completely around the periphery of the canopy. The screen enclosure may remain attached to the canopy in both the open and closed positions of the gazebo. The preferred actuation mechanism for the gazebo includes an elongated curved support arm which slides through a hollow sleeve carried at the top of a supporting mast. The support arm slides through the hollow sleeve as the gazebo is opened or closed. After the support arm is raised by the user, a hand crank is actuated to open the canopy. A rotatable mast support allows the gazebo to be easily rotated about the axis of the mast.

摘要： A sunshade includes a post including an upper tube and a lower tube, one of which is telescopically received in the other. One of the upper tube and the lower tube has a cord hole through which a lower end of a cord extends to outside of the post. A reel includes a handle having a shaft formed on an end thereof. The shaft is rotatably supported by the post yet allows relative telescopic movement between the upper tube and the lower tube. The shaft has a portion outside the post, with the lower end of the cord being attached to the portion of the shaft. The lower end of the cord is wound around the portion of the shaft when the cord is moved in a retracting direction.

摘要： This invention relates to an umbrella assembly and a framing assembly associated therewith which includes a stanchion assembly having a variable longitudinal dimension dependant on whether the umbrella is in a collapsed position or an expanded position. An adjustment assembly interconnects separable, first and second portions of the stanchion assembly exerts a biasing force on the second portion, and the canopy supporting ribs attached thereto. The biasing forces the second portion outwardly from the first portion as the umbrella assumes a collapsed position. The ribs, and canopy are thereby raised a greater than normal distance from a supporting surface of the umbrella and interference between the plurality of ribs and any object disposed at the base of the umbrella is prevented, when in the collapsed position.
