摘要: The present invention relates to polyol esters that are particularly suitable for use as insulating oils in electrical equipment where an effective cooling action is required, such as electrical transformers. In particular the invention relates to esters of trimethylolpropane with monocarboxylic acids of nine and/or ten carbon atoms, wherein the monocarboxylic acids of nine and/or ten carbon atoms comprise 5-15 mol % of branched acids and 85-95 mol % of linear acids with respect to the total moles of the monocarboxylic acids.

摘要: Provided is a lubricating oil composition containing (A) 70 mass % or more and 95 mass % or less of a poly-α-olefin base oil, (B) 5 mass % or more and 20 mass % or less of an ester-based base oil, and (C) an ester-based defoaming agent, the poly-α-olefin base oil (A) being a polymer of an α-olefin having 8 to 12 carbon atoms. The lubricating oil composition is able to keep excellent defoaming performance over a long period of time and is suitable as a step-up gear oil composition for wind power generation.

摘要: The present invention relates to a lubricant base oil containing an aromatic ester lubricant represented by Chemical Formula 1 and to a method for preparing the aromatic ester lubricant. By containing an aromatic ester lubricant, the lubricant base oil exhibits an excellent dispersibility and fluidity and is ecofriendly due to a high biodegradability. In addition, the method for preparing the aromatic ester lubricant does not generate such toxic substances as S, N, aromatic compounds and heavy metals and enables an easy control of the physical properties of a desired lubricant base oil by selecting a suitable alcohol compound to be introduced for an esterification reaction.

摘要: Suggested is a method for enhancing energy efficiency of engines by applying to said engines a lubricant composition containing (A) carboxylic esters derived from the reaction of mono-, di- and/or poly alcohols with mono- and/or dicarboxylic acids, together with an additive blend (B) comprising at least two different additives (a) and (b) together, whereby compound (a) is selected from dithiophosphates, and compound (b) is selected from alkylated phosphorothionates, on condition that the total amount of the additive blend (B) is below 0.1 wt %, calculated on the weight of the whole composition.
