摘要： A method of validating machine components in a self-service terminal is disclosed which comprises providing at least one machine component with a machine readable identifier and reading identity data from the machine readable identifier using a processing unit. The identity data is compared with identity data stored in the memory of the processing unit to determine if the identity of a component has changed. If the identity has changed, the processing unit compares the identity data with source data to determine if the component is from a trusted source. In one embodiment, the self service terminal is an ATM and the components are an encrypting Personal Identification Number (PIN) pad, a cash dispenser unit and a card reader.

摘要： The present invention relates to a drawer slide assembly with an integral strike and catch mechanism to inhibit inadvertent opening of a drawer. The structure of the present invention comprises at least two drawer slide members slidably engaged. One slide member includes an adjustable strike and another slide member includes a catch. The strike and catch engage when the drawer is closed and thus prevent inadvertent opening of the drawer. A strike fastener allows for quick and effective adjustment of the strike position which partially determines the pull force necessary to open the drawer.

摘要： An intercom system for use in combination with a multi-line telephone system wherein the intercom system utilizes the same wire pair for communications between intercom units that is used for normal telephone communications. The intercom system transmits voice signals on two or more frequency modulated channels over a wire pair of a local telephone network. Each intercom unit includes a microprocessor which controls communication activity and protocol in each unit and communicates with other intercom unit miroprocessors via a separate frequency modulated digital signal channel.
