Abstract:
A waste management system for associating a collected refuse bin with a corresponding user of that bin. The system comprises a GPS tracker unit on-board a collection vehicle for recording the GPS co-ordinates of each refuse bin during refuse collection therefrom by the collection vehicle. A central server is configured for communication with each of a plurality of collection vehicles so that the GPS co-ordinates of each refuse bin collected during a refuse collection may be communicated to the central server. The server is further configured to effect a datastore lookup for comparing the GPS co-ordinates of the collected refuse bins with pre-recorded geographical data of a plurality of users for associating each refuse bin to a corresponding user.
Abstract:
A system and method for drug management using transferable labels provides a chain of identity for medications from their arrival in a pharmacy to administration to a patient. Drug information is read, in some embodiments optically, and imprinted on a transferable label optionally fabricated of low stretch, chemical resistant material, that is attached to the medication package. The transferable label is checked to make sure that it correctly corresponds to the drug information. At the time of preparation for administration, the transferable label is transferred from the medication package to the administration device, typically a syringe or dose cup. The health care giver scans the patient identification information, usually found on an identification bracelet, the transferable label, and optionally, a unique code belonging to the administering party. The system will reject non-matches between scanned inputs, and may be configured with a variety of safety steps, displays, and reports.
Abstract:
A system, method, and computer program product are provided for synchronizing configuration values between a database and a remote input utility by configuring the database for remote input and loading the configuration values to a control file at the server, and copying the configuration values to a control file at remote system including the input utility, executing the input utility at a remote system using configuration values from the control file at the remote system to prepare data for input to the database, and responsive to the configuration values at the control file of the server, updating the configuration values in the control file at the remote system before migrating the new data from the input utility to the database.
Abstract:
Maintaining and testing a software application by performing regression testing uses standard reusable test cases from change history records to generate actual test cases. A new test case template is created upon saving a change history entry. A subset of the actual and new test cases is determined, and new actual test cases generated and documented from the subset. The new actual test cases are released after successful verification.
Abstract:
A portable data storage device compatible with both standard and high definition digital video cameras is provided. The device includes at least one SDI I/O, and preferably at least one audio I/O and preferably at least one medium speed I/O interface. A device controller takes the high speed serial data, packetizes it, and then sends it out to a plurality of memory modules. Preferably each memory module includes four NAND clusters, each NAND cluster consisting of a flash memory controller and two NAND flash memories. Interposed between the device controller and the memory modules are a plurality of memory controllers, each memory controller controlling a group of memory modules. A user interface is coupled to the device controller, the interface including a display capable of at least two user-selectable orientations, record/playback controls and a four-way directional control pad.
Abstract:
A submersible and remotely-operable platform system for carrying out repeated operations in a submarine position, and producing electrical energy as either a primary or secondary purpose by means of one or more energy-conversion payload devices installed thereon. The platform and payload devices may be periodically brought to the surface and thence, if necessary, to a shore-based facility for maintenance or refit. In deployment, the platform is preferably engaged to its mooring lines and electrical cables while still on the surface. Simultaneous with controlled flooding of certain of its volumes, the platform is guided to an operational depth and attitude by the action of its winch assemblies upon their engaged mooring lines. Subsea currents energize the platform's payload of energy conversion devices, the electrical output being preferably conveyed via one or more surface-attached cables to an off-board facility for further processing, distribution, or consumption.
Abstract:
A system for managing temporary processing agents. A first code routine is provided as an empty routine in an agent including first executable code, the empty routine consisting of non-executable code. A programming component selectively loads second executable code to the first routine for converting the empty routine to a populated routine. A code element issues a call to the first routine. An agent execution component is responsive to the first routine being a populated routine for executing the second executable code.
Abstract:
A script library includes a plurality of common blocks of code including code fragments defined by IF/THEN statements. Packages of parameters forming a data type including a scope parameter are provided in agents which, responsive to being triggered by schedule or menu, issue calls including said scope parameter to functions and procedures said script library. Code fragments bounded by IF/THEN statements within each called function and procedure execute responsive to the scope parameters to operate on entries in a database responsive to other parameters included within the data type.
Abstract:
Data languages, executable programs, and user interfaces are synchronized by a database for storing data enumerations in a first language, a configuration file for mapping language neutral tags to the data enumerations, a user interface operable responsive to the language neutral tags for presenting to a user interface view selected data enumerations in the second language; the user interface responsive to user selection at the user interface view of a data enumeration in the second language corresponding to a selected language neutral tag for accessing the configuration file to retrieve a corresponding data enumeration in the first language, and for returning the corresponding data enumeration to the database.
Abstract:
Under the present invention an identifier for a computer system undergoing an IT migration is extracted from a pertinent field the record. Thereafter, a mapping table is consulted. The mapping table generally contains entries that associate computer system identifiers with identifiers of hardware components that have been installed (or are to be installed) in the computer systems. Using the computer system identifier extracted from the record, an associated hardware component identifier is determined from the mapping table, and automatically populated into a corresponding field (e.g., a hardware component field) of the record. Thus, the present invention avoids having to manually populate the hardware component identifier into the record.
