摘要： A photoconductive imaging member containing a supporting substrate, a hole blocking layer thereover, a photogenerating layer, and a charge transport layer, and wherein the hole blocking layer is generated from crosslinking an organosilane (I) in the presence of a hydroxy-functionalized polymer (II) for example, wherein R is alkyl or aryl, R1, R2, and R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy, halide, cyano, and amino; A and B are respectively divalent and trivalent repeating units of polymer (II); D is a divalent linkage; x and y represent the mole fractions of the repeating units of A and B, respectively, and wherein x is from about 0 to about 0.99, and y is from about 0.01 to about 1, and wherein the sum of x+y is equal to about 1.

摘要： An electrophotographic imaging member includinga supporting substrate coated withat least one photoconductive layer, andan overcoating layer, the overcoating layer including aa hydroxy functionalized aromatic diamine anda hydroxy functionalized triarylamine dissolved or molecularly dispersed ina crosslinked acrylated polyamide matrix, the hydroxy functionalized triarylamine being a compound different from the polyhydroxy functionalized aromatic diamine, the crosslinked polyamide prior to crosslinking being selected from the group consisting of materials represented by the following Formulae I and II: ##STR1## wherein: n is a positive integer sufficient to achieve a weight average molecular weight between about 5000 and about 100,000,R is an alkylene group containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms,between 1 and 99 percent of the R.sub.2 sites are ##STR2## wherein X is selected from the group consisting of --H (acrylate), --CH.sub.3 (methacrylate), alkyl and aryl, andthe remainder of the R.sub.2 sites are selected from the group consisting of --H, --CH.sub.2 OCH.sub.3, and --CH.sub.2 OH, and ##STR3## wherein: m is a positive integer sufficient to achieve a weight average molecular weight between about 5000 and about 100000,R and R.sub.1 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkylene units containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms;between 1 and 99 percent of R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are independently selected from the group consisting of ##STR4## wherein X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, aryl and alkylaryl, wherein the alkyl groups contain 1 to 10 carbon atoms and the aryl groups contain 1 to 3 alkyl groups, y is an integer between 1 and 10, andthe remainder of the R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 groups are selected from the group consisting of --H, --CH.sub.2 OH, --CH.sub.2 OCH.sub.3, and --CH.sub.2 OC(O)--C(X).dbd.CH.sub.2.The overcoating layer is formed by coating. 摘要： A conductive polymer composition selected from the group consisting ofa first composition includinga polymer containing halomethylated aromatic groups, anda charge transporting material selected from the group consisting ofat least one charge transport monomer containing arylamine groups,at least one charge transport polymer containing arylamine units in the main polymer chain,and mixtures thereof, anda second composition includingat least one monomer containing a halomethylated aromatic group,at least one charge transport monomer containing arylamine groups anda polymer binder, anda third composition including:at least one monomer containing a halomethylated aromatic group, andat least one charge transport polymer with arylamine units in the main polymer chain.The aforementioned compositions may be applied as coatings and used in high speed laser printing and related printing processes. These conductive polymeric compositions and processes therefor provide improved stability and a broad range of conductivities, manufacturing and compositional latitude, and dielectric strength.

摘要： A method for determining the approximate surface conductivity of a photoreceptor surface. The method involves forming a latent image of a series of lines of different widths on the surface, developing the image, and then printing the image. Based on which lines print, the surface conductivity can be computed once the developability of isolated lines is established through a calibration procedure.
