    摘要: Described is a method of constructing multi-user packets in a communication network utilizing packet-switching, wherein a plurality of user request service from the communication network. According to this method, priorities are allocated to each of the plurality of user. Of the plurality of user, those user are selected who indicate that multi-user packets are supportable. A group of user out of the selected user is formed, where group is defined in that all user who are member of the group allow at least one common transmission format. Finally, a multi-user packet is constructed utilizing one common transmission format.

The monitored devices are divided into a plurality of groups, one of monitored devices in each group being appointed the primary device of the group. Group status information is normally received only from the primary device of the group or receiving member status information from a member device. When group status information is received by the monitoring server, the monitoring server may assign the devices covered by the group status report to new groups with the same or a different primary device.

    摘要: A dynamic multi-voltage memory array features SRAM cells that are subjected to different biasing conditions, depending on the operating mode of the cells. The selected SRAM cell receives a first voltage when a read operation is performed, and receives a second voltage when a write operation is performed. By biasing the cell differently for the two distinct operations, a total decoupling of the read and write operations is achieved. The disclosed memory array, as well as future SRAM designs incorporating the multi-voltage capability thus avoid the conflicting requirements of read and write operations. Random single-bit failures of the memory array are reduced, due to the improvement in read stability and write margin.

    摘要: The present invention relates to method and apparatus for video coding by ABT-based just noticeable difference (JND). For building the just noticeable difference model, spatial content information (SCI) is used to represent the spatial appearance similarity between one macroblock and its sub-blocks and the motion characteristic distance (MCD) is used to represent the motion characteristics similarity between one macroblock and its sub-blocks. For intra frames, the balance strategy based on the obtained SCI of the macroblock is used to generate the ABT-based JND model. For inter frames, the balanced strategy based on the obtained SCI and MCD of the macroblock is used to generate the ABT-based JND model. Using the ABT-based JND model, the residual coefficients for each block in a frame is filtered to obtain a reduced set of residual coefficients for transmission without degradation in visual quality.
