A registration response (REG_RSP) message is generated which includes a type field, a length field, and an integrated CID (Connector Identifier) field. The integrated CID field includes an integrated CID inserted thereinto. The integrated CID is configured by using a new CID assigned to the subscriber terminal and an old CID assigned to the subscriber terminal by a current serving base station. The type and length fields include type information and length information of the integrated CID respectively inserted thereinto. The generated REG_RSP message is transmitted to a handover target subscriber terminal. A traffic indicator (TRF_IND) message is generated which includes at least one short BCID (Basic Connector Identifier) field into which a short BCID is inserted. The short BCID is configured by a preset number of bits among a total of bits representing a BCID of a positive subscriber terminal that must receive traffic indication information. The generated TRF_IND is then broadcast.

Disclosed are a mobile terminal and mobile communication system capable of changing downlink traffic and a method for transmitting data in a mobile communication network using the same. When at least one predetermined requirement for an additional downlink traffic allocation request is met, the additional downlink traffic allocation request is sent from a mobile terminal (MT) to a base station (BS). The BS, receiving the additional downlink traffic allocation request, determines whether or not additional downlink traffic allocation is possible. If the additional downlink traffic allocation is determined to be possible, the BS allocates the additional downlink traffic to the MT and transmits a downlink signal using downlink traffic including the additionally allocated downlink traffic.

Disclosed is a method for controlling downlink power transmitted from a base station to subscriber stations in a mobile communication system employing an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) scheme, in which data is carried from the base station to the subscriber stations by subchannels to each of which a plurality of subcarriers are assigned. The method includes the steps of receiving from the subscriber stations channel condition information of each of the subchannels together with information related to a subcarrier having a channel condition below a threshold from among at least one subcarrier included in each of the subchannels; calculating transmission power for each of the subchannels based on the received information; and transmitting each of the subchannels with the calculated transmission power, excluding the subcarrier having a channel condition below the threshold.
