    摘要： The information storing medium has a substrate, a storing element, provided on the substrate, for storing information, a protecting portion, covering the storing element, for protecting the storing element, an electrical contact point that is provided beside the protecting portion on a side of the substrate, on which the storing element is provided, and is electrically connected to the storing element, and a sliding region that is provided on the electrical contact point. In the information storing medium, when the storing medium is mounted on the apparatus main body, the electrical contact point contacts a main body electrical contact point provided on the apparatus main body. Also, when the electrical contact point and the main body electrical contact point contact each other, the main body electrical contact point slides on the electrical contact point in the sliding region.

    摘要： A developing apparatus for developing a latent image formed on an electrophotographic photosensitive member, includes (a) a developer carrying member for feeding a magnetic developer to develop a latent image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive member with the magnetic developer, wherein a magnet is disposed in the developer carrying member; (b) a magnetic seal member provided at each of one and the other longitudinal ends of the developer carrying member with a clearance from a peripheral surface of the developer carrying member to prevent leakage of the developer in a longitudinal direction of the developer carrying member; (c) a developer regulating member provided contacted to the peripheral surface of the developer carrying member to prevent reentering of the developer having passed through the gap between the developer carrying member and the magnetic seal member.

    摘要： A magnetic seal mounting method for mounting a magnetic seal member to a developing frame which has a magnetic seal mounting portion extended in a direction crossing with a longitudinal direction of a developing roller mounting portion for mounting a developing roller at each of one and the other longitudinal ends of the developing roller mounting portion, and a supporting member mounting portion for mounting a supporting member for supporting a developing blade extended along the longitudinal direction of the developing roller mounting portion, the method including the steps of: (a) engaging the magnetic seal member to the magnetic seal mounting portion while an elastic member between the magnetic seal mounting portion and the magnetic seal member is deformed, when the magnetic seal member is mounted to the magnetic seal mounting portion; (b) mounting the supporting member to a developing frame so that position of the magnetic seal member is regulated by the supporting member for supporting the developing blade to prevent disengagement of the magnetic seal member mounted to the magnetic seal mounting portion therefrom, thus mounting the developing blade; and (c) mounting the developing roller to the developing roller mounting portion provided in an including while flexing the developing blade after the developing blade is mounted to the developing frame.

    摘要： A process cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an image forming apparatus includes a cartridge frame; an electrophotographic photosensitive member; a process device actable on the electrophotographic photosensitive member; a toner accommodating portion for accommodating toner for developing a latent image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive member; a filling opening for filling the toner to the toner accommodating portion, wherein the filling opening is openably sealed by a cap; a transfer opening for permitting transfer of a toner image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive member onto a recording material, wherein the transfer opening is provided on the cartridge frame; a protection cover for protecting the electrophotographic photosensitive member; a supporting member for supporting the protection cover so that the protection cover is movable between a protection position in which the protection cover covers the transfer opening and a retracted position in which it opens the transfer opening; a mounting member mounted to the cartridge frame so as to be opposed to the cap mounted to the filling opening.
