摘要： Upon designating bookbinding print, preview images are displayed in a layout after bookbinding. When “store” of intermediate data is designated in a print process, a spooler (302) stores intermediate data and an output job setup file in a spool file (303). When the stored job is selected, a previewer (306) displays a list of jobs, and displays a print preview image. In this case, upon setting bookbinding print, pages are displayed in a spread state and order after bookbinding. Also, the open direction (right or left open), and the bookbinding unit are also expressed on preview images.

摘要： An information processing apparatus for forming print data to be print-processed by a printer is constructed by: designation receiving means for receiving designation of a duplex printing, discriminating means for discriminating the number of pages in the case where data to be printed has been arranged on a recording paper, and command adding means for receiving the designation of the duplex printing by the designation receiving means and, in the case where it is determined by the discriminating means that the number of pages of the recording paper on which the data to be printed has been arranged is equal to an odd number, adding a command to urge a forced paper ejection in the printer lest a blank page of the last page is logically counted in the printer. A print data forming method and a print control program for realizing such an apparatus and a memory medium which stores such a program are provided. When the last page is printed as a blank page in the printer in a duplex printing mode, the print data is formed lest the last blank page is counted up by a counter.

The local ID is acquired, and then a resource file corresponding to the local ID is acquired. The resource file stores control data of the peripheral device, which changes in correspondence with environment data. Based on the control data, setting of the peripheral device is performed. The local ID is stored so that the local ID can be used in the subsequent processing.

摘要： Provided are a print layout device, a print layout method and a storage medium therefor with which all data can always be printed by ensuring that data to be printed do not extend out beyond the limits of a printable area, as may occur when the conventional margin setting process is used, with which a margin can be set by employing an additional special print method, such as an N-up print method, and with which a binding margin can be set for bookbinding. In addition, provided is a configuration for implementing those apparatuses and devices without modifying the conventional portions. A host computer comprises a despooler, which calculates a printable area using margin parameters set by a user, enlarges/reduces print data in consonance with the obtained printable area, performs a layout for the resultant data to be printed and margins on a sheet, and prints the data using that layout. The despooler outputs prepared drawing data to a graphic engine to provide a printer driver in a conventional manner.
