A base station may configure a UE to transmit multiple repetitions of uplink control information (UCI) that each use a same number of coded bits for each repetition, which may allow for soft buffering and combining of the multiple repetitions the base station. The UE may select one of the repetitions for determining the number of coded bits, and may adjust one or more other repetitions of the UCI to provide the same number of coded bits.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) and a base station (BS) may transmit reference signals (RS) for the other device to estimate a channel and perform measurements. The UE and the BS communicate the at least one RS corresponding to the trigger state for example, based on a grant from the BS or a time offset from the uplink request.
